I cover the idea of maintaining accountability in a broken and hypocritical world. As Christians, we are to be held to certain standards in regard to our behaviors, thoughts, actions, and words. What is the Bible and why do we read it? Countless times this question has been asked by many people. Regardless of if they believe it or not, many try to understand the importance of the Bible and why Christians read it. The Bible is not like any book you may read once and then let collect dust. Is there such a thing as a coincidence for a Christian? Does everything occur by chance or good luck? People think that most occurrences are just a coincidence. Nothing more than something that just happened by chance. But, scriptures states that life is far more complicated than that. In today's episode, I cover why we should focus on believing the intentionality of God's plan. Rather than write every answered prayer and anything else in life as by chance. We know that our lives are far too complex to just happen by good luck.

Following Easter/resurrection weekend it's important to reflect on what Jesus went through for our sake. As well as the betrayal that he experienced from a multitude of people. To me, this is the epitome of God working things out for God for those who love Him. The way He was able to turn situations of betrayal t blessings. It starts in the heart: craving, wanting, enjoying, being satisfied by anything that you treasure more than God. That is an idol. - John Piper. Idolatry is anything that we put above God or prioritize more than God. In Biblical times this would be like worshiping a physical idol or image of a god. But what are some modern-day idols? In today's episode, I cover 6 modern-day common idols that we may not be aware of. We are told to flee from idolatry due to the possible consequences on our faith and our walk with the Lord.

You don't have to be an expert to enjoy your hobbies and skills. We often put so much pressure on ourselves to reach perfection. Many of us believe that we have to be good at a hobby, interest, or activity to truly enjoy it. What if we chose to focus on enjoying the process rather than having great constant results. One of my favorite shows on Netflix is about beginner bakers who attempt to make professional-level treats and cakes. Yes, they are bound to fail, but they still have fun and can win prizes. Although most of us are not competing for a prize, we can still just enjoy our hobbies as we are.

If you grew up in the church or were religious, you are bound to be familiar with the story of the ten plagues in Exodus. While reading through it recently, several themes were apparent to me. In today's episode, I cover three compelling themes from the story of the ten plagues. As well as some takeaways for us to apply to our own lives. Although many of us may already be familiar with these stories, it is important to re-read them for ourselves. Scripture being active will allow us to receive multiple messages from one section. I feel depending on our walk with God certain things may stand out more than a previous time. All of the Bible verses that I mentioned will be linked down below in the show notes!

I cover three biblical stories that show us the unexpected ways that God answers prayers and brings things together. It is an important reminder for Christians to fully trust God and where He leads us in life. Although we may not relate to all of the specifics of each story, there are many major takeaways, that we can apply to our lives. We can never begin to imagine all of the things that God could get us through. Or provide to us.
