Joyous - a Seaside Center, Rev. Christian Sorensen podcast

Today is a celebration of the successful unfoldment of our annual Prosperity Program. We are about two thirds of the way to having 250 families or individuals saying with their Estimate of Giving, “Here’s how you can count me in with support of Seaside in 2019!” That kind of intention raises the tide which blesses and lifts us all. The blessings of greater good reciprocating back into your life this year will be amazing beyond your expectation. When you remember it’s God that gives us the power to have wealth and when you have chosen to put Spirit first, incredible good can be expected! If you are part of the Seaside Spiritual family and have not yet had the chance to let me know what your thoughts are, please fill out the Estimate of Giving in the program and drop it in today’s collection basket. I assure you that I’ll be praying over every one of these cards throughout the year as if they were prayer requests. I’ll be knowing that you are able to meet and exceed your intention because greater good is manifesting in your life in the most perfect ways.

Today is one of the most significant days on our Sunday calendar. In the fall season, Seaside offers a Prosperity Series around creating your ability to express life to your fullest with a sense of joy and freedom. It culminates today when I ask you to consciously make God your partner in creating greater good for your life; the timeless principle of systematically remembering God with the “First Fruits” or first gift.

The first week I spoke about the Infinite potentiality of the unlimited treasure that is waiting for you to discover and claim. The second week I spoke about creating space for that by changing some thinking and habits. I followed up with the importance of moving away from the security of the known shore and entering the adventure of new creation. Last week was about going deeper in your life to find your treasure. Today I am asking if you are willing to remember that God is the one from which your greater good comes. As you support Spirit's work, you’ll find Spirit supporting Its work as your life! Give to what represents God in your life, and you will find God expressing and supporting all aspects of your world, because Spirit is in and through all things.

Today is New Member Sunday. My heart jumps for joy as I look at each name of our new members in the Sunday program! Their "yes" to being part of our Seaside Family is a wonderful confirmation that Seaside is alive, growing and making a difference. We’ll call them up to the stage at the end of the second service to say their names so we can officially welcome them.

You’ve been called to go deeper with your spiritual practices by Spirit. These are dynamic times we are all in, which is Spirit’s nudge to look a little deeper for the God Presence–as well as a prayer request to know a greater truth that avoids confusion. The sea offers a wonderful metaphor for going deeper to get beyond the turbulent surface and to discover the treasure that lies in the depths. The first week we looked out at the infinite expanse of the sea in which we live, move and have our being, and we realized there is untold treasure to be discovered. The second week we spoke of the importance of embracing change if we wanted to experience a shift in our life. You can’t keep doing what you're doing and hope for things to be different. Last week was about paddling out, moving away from the security of the known shore and into the adventure of greater possibilities.

This week is about going deeper to discover and bring back the golden treasure that lies in the depths of your being. You are the treasure.

Today we welcomed back the spirit, talent and voice of Angel Travis who can be found on Facebook here.

In the first week of our Prosperity Series, we looked at the seas as a metaphor for the Infinite and all the treasures that lie waiting to be discovered.

Last week we explored the importance of embracing change if you are looking for changes to occur in your life.

This week I’m going to encourage you to “paddle out” to greet your adventure. Our adventures in prosperity are alive here at Seaside and I trust will bring wonderful treasures into your world. We heard testimonials from Dr. Christina and her 15 year journey with Spirit at her side and our hearts were moved by Tracey Plascenia's story of a mother’s love for her daughter through an incredible 2 year journey of healing.

This week Rev. Kimjera has her powerful story to share with us. And a big shout out of congratulations to Rev. Kimjera who, just this past week, passed her oral exams and has become “officially” a licensed minister, so it’s with joy we “officially” welcome her to Seaside in that capacity. We’ll soon be seeing her photo on our ministerial wall.

Last week we looked at the sea as the realm of the Infinite and all the treasures of the Divine potential that awaits us. This week we will be looking at how important it is to expect change if you are looking for something new.

If we keep on doing what we are doing and expect a different result, that’s crazy-making. When we find the courage to journey on some new currents, we must realize the landscape will shift. Things will look and feel different, because you are in a different place.

Today we welcomed back the spirit, talent and voices of Janice Edwards & Nathan Fry.

I love this morning's title, "One Thought From a Miracle." Seaside’s journey has been miraculous, where a new and higher thought has always prevailed. It is a reflection of the good that is going on in all of our lives that continues to reflect back into expression for our community. Thank you for doing your soul’s work. It blesses us all! Remember we are in charge of our thoughts, and there is nothing that can dictate what they should be other than the perspective we have chosen.

from Dr. Rev. Christian Sorensen was recorded September 30th, 2018 and it’s titled Finding Faith When Freaking Out affirming My faith has made me strong!

Today we welcome back the spirit, talent and voice of Michael Paul Smith who can be found here on on Facebook.

One of my favorites writings from The Science of Mind is Ernest Holmes’ chapter on Faith. He writes,

"That it’s been said that the entire world is suffering from one big fear...the fear that God will not answer our prayers. What is fear? Nothing more nor less than the negative use of faith...faith misplaced; a belief in two powers instead of One."

When the world appears to be sending us into freak-out mode, it’s time to remember that there is no opposition to God. We are the ones that need the realignment and re-calibration with the Omnipotent.

Today’s message from Rev. Christian was recorded September 23rd, 2018 and it’s titled Moving Forward in Times of Uncertainty affirming I courageously step into my awaiting good!

Today we welcome the world-class talent, voice, and spirit of Peggy Lebo who can be best found on her Facebook page here.
