Having garnered significant recognition for his masterful, yet seemingly effortless guitar playing “Kentucky’s Jeremy Short is one of the top 30 blues guitar players in the world. Don’t take it from me — take it from the judges at Memphis’s International Blues Challenge, where Short semi-finaled in 2016 and 2017. Short is known for his guitar pyrotechnics and commitment to groove” (No Depression).

Four years ago, Alice Wallace moved to Nashville after more than a decade in southern California, and 'Here I Am' is the first of her albums to be recorded in true Music City style, backed by a lineup of world-class musicians and recorded in two whirlwind days with no rehearsal.
Produced by Nick Buda (Taylor Swift, Martina McBride, Dolly Parton), the album features some of the most talented musicians Music City has to offer. In addition to Nick Buda on drums, the record features GRAMMY-winning guitarist Kenny Greenberg (Willie Nelson, Wynonna Judd, Hayes Carll), bassist Ted Pecchio (Doyle Bramhall II, Susan Tedeschi), and keyboardist Jimmy Wallace (The Wallflowers).
The album’s title hints at her deeply personal, confessional songwriting style, one that invites the listener to gaze at her beating heart as each intimate secret pours out, propelled by a powerful, expressive delivery that marks her as one of the true vocal talents of her generation.
Topics discussed include empathy in songwriting, the breakthrough of pursuing music full-time, the move to Nashville, recording in the snow, and more.

Carter Vail is the kind of guy who can look on the bright side no matter what. Listen to the infectious pop-rock he’s been making since 2018 or watch his hilarious videos on TikTok or Instagram, and you’ll find a relentless optimist who crafts inviting tunes with humor and heart.
Though the Los Angeles songwriter’s sophomore LP 100 Cowboys boasts the same tasteful and turbocharged alternative that dominates his catalog, beneath the breezy arrangements are his most bracingly personal lyrics yet. Written following a devastating breakup, Vail channels messy, heartbroken feelings into nine galvanizing and cathartic songs. It’s as anthemic as it is compelling, all delivered with palpable, tongue-in-cheek charm.
100 Cowboys is a playful and perceptive pop-rock album about getting through a bad time. It takes its title from Vail’s infatuation with campy Spaghetti Westerns and a throwback to his time recording country acts at his former Nashville studio. “I like how like campy old cowboy movies are and in a lot of ways I think that's what being a musician is like,” says Vail. “You can be your own persona."

Maya de Vitry’s vibrant voice seems to rise out of some necessity of bringing songs to life, embracing listeners with a soulful intimacy. She grew up in a musical family in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, understanding music to be a place of gathering, a way to spend a summer night around a campfire. Maya first traveled and performed as a fiddling street musician, and then in bars, theaters, and on festival stages as a founding member of The Stray Birds (2010-2018). Since the band parted ways in 2018, Maya has been devotedly creating a powerful new body of work—one that consistently blurs genre while showcasing her delight in storytelling and her extraordinarily dynamic singing.
Her brand new album, The Only Moment, is an instant classic and a career highlight. Her 4th full-length release in just six years, The Only Moment—out now—is a refreshing 10-song testament to the generative simmering that underpins periods of reinvention and growth. Produced by de Vitry and mixed by Grammy-award-winning engineer Justin Francis (Madison Cunningham), The Only Moment is an unabashed blend of indie folk, indie rock, and indie pop, with elements of Americana and alt-country. Recorded at Phantom Studios in Gallatin, TN, the album captures the unfettered energy and occasional chaos of de Vitry’s Nashville "bar band," featuring Anthony da Costa on electric guitar, Ethan Jodziewicz on electric bass, and Dominic Billet on drums.

Hailing from the largely unsung streets of Staten Island, Ferry Townes emerges as a poignant voice in the indie music scene, channeling the raw, unfiltered emotions of its frontwoman, songwriter, Julia Gargano.
The name Ferry Townes is an homage to The Staten Island Ferry, a symbol of Julia’s upbringing commuting to Manhattan for school, family days, dates, and watching the Statue of Liberty. Having had her public debut on American Idol Season 18 and finishing in the top 7, Gargano’s debut collection is an eclectic blend of acoustic and electronic elements, reminiscent of bands like HAIM and boygenius, yet with a distinct melodic narrative and alternative pop flair.
Ferry Townes is a vivid musical exploration of feminine identity and growing pains, sprinkled with anxious flashes and flirty obsessions. Join us as Ferry Townes shares with Jamie her journey, lessons and much more.
