Part 2 of Alex's talk on Spiritual Warfare

After the resurrection Jesus didn't send the Apostles out on works mission before first equipping them, so they were to wait for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. We too desperately need the Holy Spirit if we are to accomplish our mission of bringing the gospel to Worthing and the Nations.

Don reminds us that we are called to be worshipers of God – bringing joyful worship, thankful worship, reverent worship and responsive worship.

Jesus has won, so live like it. A biblical foundation to spiritual warfare.

Sin pollutes life and sin pollutes creation. It creates an eternal separation from God. Martin looks at how God can change our hearts and deal with our sin so that we can live free from it’s power.

The Kings of Israel & Judah went to war but ran out of water in the desert, so God miraculously provided for them and gave them victory over their enemies. This is a picture for us, how we need God’s provision of the Holy Spirit in the Church. And one of the keys to releasing the Spirit is as we worship Jesus.

As Colin gives his final preach at Jubilee before he and his family move to South Africa, he asks us to remember these things... Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love.

When we receive the Spirit our desires begin to align to God's. One of God's greatest desires is to see people come to know him.
