Martin looks at the celebrity culture in Corinth and how it affected the church there and asks whether we have fallen into a 'Jubilee Idol' culture

The church in Corinth were hardly the model new testament church. Or were they? Perhaps their experience of in-fighting, legal proceedings, sexual immorality and idolatry are much more akin to what we should expect in a church which is born in a foreign culture, far away from the values in the kingdom of God. We are privileged to see how Paul deals with their situation, and begin to understand how his insights are relevant to us in 21st century multi-cultural Britain.

The Gospel is the power of God for the salvation of all who believe, so why do so many Christians shy away from sharing their faith? Rodney looks at the strategies used by satan to shut us up, but also how the truth of God’s word can nullify those strategies and bring us into freedom, where we can be more confident about sharing the wonderful gospel of God with our friends and work colleagues.

Going to a different country and a different culture or staying in the UK? Wherever you are you are part of God's kingdom displaying his culture within an alien culture. Colin touches on what this may mean as we send Arron, Helen and family to Lesotho.

Fusi reminds us that though we are in the kingdom of light there is a kingdom of darkness and we need to continually give ourselves to Jesus.
