Mike was so damn excited about Camp Xul that there was no way he could wait to record the new Mike Check for it. So why wait? Mike grabbed his phone, and literally on the final night of the festivities, he got together with his Camp Crew of Robbie (TwiztidHistory/DoItForTheUnderground on IG), Blade, and Veronica to unpack everything from the weekend! This is a long episode, so buckle up! Apologies for the sound quality being on the low end; again, Mike just had his phone on him, so it pretty much sounds like an old JJ episode!

We all remember the story of ICP's overnight success after the infamous "Disney Scandal". With a wave of Milenko's wand, the Wicked Clowns were in the public eye, underdogs of the world who had their hard work pulled out from under them. Island Records made the big save, and they were fully behind Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope. One such way of doing this was by buying out a dedicated timeslot on MTV to play whatever they wanted, which meant airing a documentary dedicated to ICP and the Juggalos. A video tape (and later on, DVD release) of this meant that new and old Juggalos could experience this whenever they wanted, and so we're doing that here! Yes, the JJ Boiz are here with another commentary track, so bust out the VHS player and have us on in the background. Did Island make the right choice in broadcasting this to the world? Were you one of the special Juggalos who watched this right when it aired? Is Legz Diamond the most charismatic ninja that world has ever known? We find out today as we sit and watch... You may remember that Mike wasn't the biggest fan of Myzery in the past. From his contributions to Psychopathic Rydas, his guest verse on "Meatcleaver", and the one track of his we heard on Forgotten Freshness, Vol. 1 (plus Mike's prior experience with the album in particular), he was ready to just shut the door on Les Myz until 2017 or whatever. But the season of "Shit We Missed" just left a nagging feeling for Mike, and ultimately decided that we should give him a shot. So we did! Way back in 1977 Elvis Costello released his debut album. 13 years later, I was born. 20-something years later I was introduced to said album and determined it was one of the greatest things I'd ever heard, from a songwriting, compositional, really every standpoint.
