You are the one who limits yourself on what you can and cannot do.

In this episode, my desperation to be away from my mother (who isn't that bad actually) put me in harms way. So much so that it changed my life completely.

I cannot help but say that it was meant to happen though. Something deep inside me states that it is something I have to go through, get out of, and learn something from it in order to become who I am meant to be.

Trying and Failing should be encouraged while they are young and don't know any better. It is equally important that they pause and reflect to see that they are moving in the right direction or not. We, as adults, need to do the same. Although we don't have the luxury of not paying the bills, we still have to pause and reassess to make sure our time is spent wisely. Too many people are being paid too little for the important things they do to make other people's lives better. Don't short change yourself. Have a plan on what to do and be wary of your resources. It is limited so make the most out of it. They also said to start small and gradually increase it to get there but make sure that you get there.

Reflecting on what's going on with your life and yourself helps keep life from getting too boring or painful. When you talk to yourself, see where you are, what you're doing, and where you're headed. It helps you not be in situations or relationships where you don't want to be in, lets you see whether you are closer to who you want to be or where you want to go. It just is better for you. Think about it. At least you're not going to be living the same life over and over again. Keep moving forward. 

In this episode, there are a few PROs and CONs stated as well as how to go about reflecting. One thing I forgot to mention is Meditation. In which let me tell you, it is not for everyone. Whichever one works for you!

Hopefully you start making your life a little bit better. One day at a time. 

Everyone always feels the urge to talk, to relay how they feel, the need to be heard. It is hard to take in another person's point of view and make it work with your own. If it is someone you love and care about, don't let it pass by. The more time it goes on, the more it will show in how you talk, how you act, and your overall feeling. Take what they are saying as a constructive criticism if it is bad and a win to you if it was something good. Not talking, being sarcastic or whatever your wall is, it won't work in the long run and will eventually hurt the relationship even more and some to the extent of both of them thinking that it has gone as far as irreconcilable differences when in fact it was something so petty in the first place. It is human nature. The more we do the opposite, listen more than talk, the better life becomes. They did say that all great things take a lot of effort but it is worth it. I do hope that while I am constantly learning the things in life, the lessons I learn, how to deal with things, etc. do help other people in their troubles and trials too. We're all on the same boat, just different looks, but the same ones nonetheless. Be Kind to yourself and to others. Cheers!

Ever had the same experiences happen to you over and over again? Whether it be at your work or your love life or just life in general. This is not deja vu...Well it kinda is because you haven't learned from your past experience so you end up doing the same thing over and over again. Self reflection can take on many forms. Some people like to reflect while watching the waves rock back and forth at a beach or just listening to the rain while it drips on the leaves of a tree, some just looks endlessly at the city lights under the night sky, some just let loose by doing some activities that they enjoy just to clear out the stress, frustration, and refuel, some do meditation in a quiet room, some do journaling (this is one of my personal favorite), and etc. You might want to use more than one way of self reflection or you might want just one. I found that the combination of the ones I specified above works great for me.

Instead of you spending thousands of dollars on a shrink, you can teach yourself and your children how to reflect on their lives and do better after each and every experience. Now, I am not saying you should only dissect the bad things that happened. You need to do it to the good ones too so that you can improve and make them great. I am gearing towards making the podcasts more precise and direct to the point by pointing something out and giving an example to point out that you can apply it in real life. Journaling for me is just like talking to myself and if you "talk" to someone, it usually helps take a load off of your shoulder. You yourself are the Best Person to talk to about your own problems, trials and tribulations so that you can pin point where you can change in yourself and do the improvement. I, myself, have never been a big fan of doing what other people tell me (even if it is right). I usually determine that myself by either going through the experience myself or have the common sense to see that it really is a bad idea. I have formed many signs to myself on this due to past experiences and you should too. 

My goal is to help people and children to improve their lives by imparting HOW to Deal with life through lessons learned and stories, who doesn't like a good story right? Hope this helps. Cheers!

Finding your base principles is necessary in your life in order to achieve success. You have to know what to do at times where peer pressure is strong. My mother always pointed out that you don't have to do everything your friends or coworkers do. If they jump off the bridge, does that mean you'll do it too? I repeat the same things to my kids as well. This applies to everything in your life including your relationships. I told one guy I was dating that we're splitting up because I didn't like who I was turning out to be and I love who I am. Protect yourself! 

Of course no one is perfect, which is why you model different things from different people but never lose sight of who you are, who you want to be, mirror it as much as you can in your life, and keep moving forward. =) It's life! It will get better when we get better.
