Our Season Finale! Behind the neon glow of Ogden's infamous 25th Street stood one of the city's most notorious figures: Rose Davies. To some, she was a successful madam who built an underground empire in the shadows of postwar Utah. To others, she represented a darker reality hidden behind the myths of vice, freedom, and easy money. 

In this episode, we explore the story of Rose Davies and the Rose Rooms, separating legend from history while examining what life may have truly looked like for the women who worked there. From police raids and political controversies to the everyday realities of prostitution in mid-century Ogden, this story is about power, exploitation, survival, and the uncomfortable truths often left out of the romanticized versions of the past.

From the jungles of Vietnam where he served in the Army to the Streets of Ogden from the 70's on, Spence brings his articulate, humorous, and unique perspective to the show. Listen to his first hand accounts of the Vietnam War and Policing in his era. He would never say this about himself, but Spence is a bona fide hero for reasons you'll hear, and we are indebted to him for giving us some of his time.
