1. Taste of London – Regent’s Park 🍴

If you love food, this is a must. Taste of London is a huge food festival set in the green heart of Regent’s Park. Over 30 restaurants set up pop-ups offering everything from modern British to global fusion. Alongside that, you’ll find tastings, live firepit cooking, and cheese masterclasses.

Why go? Regent’s Park might be smaller than Hyde Park, but its gardens are stunning, and with food stalls dotted around, the whole place becomes one big gourmet picnic.

2. Dream Ballets – Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre 🩰

This one’s for the culture lovers. Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Dream Ballets: A Triple Bill brings their iconic dream ballet scores to life through new choreography by top UK theatre choreographers. All performed live by the Sinfonia Smith Square orchestra in the open air.

Why go? It’s rare to see something this artistic outdoors. The setting, the music and the price all make it a great pick for an evening in the park.

3. VIA Criterium & London Cycle Festival – King’s Cross 🚴

Cycling fans, this is your stop. VIA Criterium is a fast-paced, closed-road race around Coal Drops Yard and the King’s Cross area. New this year is the VIA Gravel Race, looping out 70 or 120km into Hertfordshire. Expect stalls, demos and gear from cycling brands as part of the London Cycle Festival.

Why go? It’s pretty special to see a cycling race through central London, and the atmosphere at KGX will be buzzing. If you’re into bikes at all, you’ll feel right at home.

4. Talking Buildings: Richard Rogers – Sir John Soane’s Museum 🏛️

If you’d prefer to be indoors this weekend, this new exhibition is all about the late Richard Rogers, the architect behind landmarks like the Lloyd’s Building, the Millennium Dome and the Pompidou Centre. Talking Buildings explores his ideas, activism and design legacy.

5. Royal Academy Summer Exhibition – Piccadilly 🎨

An annual highlight in the art world, this exhibition brings together works by both new and established artists. You’ll see everything from prints and sculpture to film and architectural design. Curated this year by architect Farshid Moussavi RA.

6. Eat Ukrainian at Tatar Bunar – Shoreditch 🍽️

A brand new Ukrainian restaurant has opened in Shoreditch and it’s making waves. Tatar Bunar serves bold, pickled-forward Eastern European flavours. Standouts include lamb cheburek with ajika sauce, smoked lamb chops, and a crème brûlée-topped dumpling for dessert.

Why go? If you’ve never had proper Ukrainian food, this is your chance. It’s indoors, vibrant, and the flavours are unforgettable — especially if you like something a little sour and spicy.

7. David Attenborough: Our Story – Natural History Museum 🐾

Sir David Attenborough brings us Our Story, a 50-minute immersive documentary experience at the Natural History Museum. Projected across the walls of the Jerwood Gallery, it blends animation and wildlife footage to tell the story of humanity.
