Unlike the movie that drew me to this case so many years ago, THIS is a true story. No names have been changed, and for education/enlightenment purposes, as well as respect for the dead, everything has been told exactly as it occurred. Please come with me today for the tragic story of the murder of Helle Crafts. This is a story of a woman in a disappointing marriage to a disappointing man who treated her like garbage. She tried to escape her situation, but there would be no escaping his monstrous nature.

Solving this case would not at all have been possible without forensic science, and it’s a total reminder that you cannot commit a crime and get way with it, especially a murder. This case made history, set benchmarks, contributed to our present fascination with true crime, and had a hand in inspiring some of the best film-making of all-time………. Enjoy.
