In 2019 HBO Max gave us an over-the-top twist on top-tier villain with HARLEY QUINN! A super adult themed animated series the show ranks up there with What We Do in the Shadows, Peacemaker, and The Boys. It's hilarious, it's violent - at times even heartfelt. You can be laughing and crying at the same time but mostly tears due to laughter. The cast is led by the stellar Kaley Cuoco, most famously known for being Penny from The Big Bang Theory. She's totally relentless and even more so in the company of Poison Ivy played perfectly by Lake Bell who is also a Marvel animation alum where she voices the Black Widow. There's also Star Wars alums like Alan Tudyk pulling double duty as The Joker and Clayface. Ron Funches as King Shark, Diedrich Bader as Batman, J.B. Smoove as Frank the Plant, Christopher Meloni as Jim Gordon, Sanaa Latham as Catwoman and a whole slew of others! This show is 3 seasons in with 38 eps that just whiz by at 22 minutes each. If you are not watching it you need to start NOW!!! Or Harlz and Ivy might just bash your brains in with a bat!

Last Sunday the final 4 teams of the 2022-2023 NFL season played for the right to play in the absolute biggest sports event there is - THE SUPER BOWL! We saw the Kansas City Chiefs become the AFC champs and Philly's Eagles become the NFC champs. The 2 teams with young Texas QBs at the helm will make history on February 12, 2023 as they meet each other in Super Bowl LVII or SB57 for those of us who have lost track. We thought this would be a fine opportunity for us to discuss not only our favorite Super Bowl memories and moments but also some of our own traditions. The 10 episode series tracks the story of how the original Godfather movie was made. A story that itself rivals the intrigue of the classic film itself. Centered around film producer Albert S. Ruddy played wonderfully by Miles Teller, you get to see his rise to being a Hollywood producer and the woes he encountered making what is arguably the greatest film of all time. The entire cast is stellar and brings their best to the screen. This series was truly slighted this awards season as the show is simply a standout with exceptional performances. We begin tonight on an extremely sad note, as we said goodbye this to one of the best to ever step into the squared circle. Jamin Pugh known the world over as Jay Briscoe, passed away at the age of 38. Double A and CM Chuck both had the explicit honor to meet Jay and his brother Mark. These 2 formed one of the greatest tag teams of all-time. We send our love, thoughts, and prayers to the Pugh family. It just happened to be we had planned a wrestling episode this week heading into Royal Rumble weekend. The Royal Rumble has always been a favorite Grand Slam event of Just Another Friday Night. The excitement of who is entering the ring next, how full it will get in the ring, and who will eventually walk away with a shot at the title at Wrestlemania. We love wrestling and tonight we want to start down the road to Wrestlemania and the road to healing as we mourn a tragic loss to the wrestling community. This one's for you Jay. REACH FOR THE SKY BOY! MAN UP!!

The Western! An film genre that easily evokes images of gunslingers, lawmen, and the Old West. Names like Clint Eastwood and John Wayne might immediately come to mind and their classic westerns of the 60s and 70s. Tonight however we want to discuss the more modern ventures in the western genre. Films that span the last 30 years or so without examining the films of the 60s, 70s, and 80s these newer westerns have become modern classics. Films like Tombstone, the 2007 3:10 to Yuma, Young Guns 1 & 2. While not traditional there's also Hell or High Water - is it a western? It has many of the hallmarks despite its contemporary setting. Then there is the Academy Award winning Unforgiven an essential farewell to the genre for Eastwood. As Tarantino fans there's Django Unchained and the Hateful Eight, literally too many to discuss but we plan to tackle as many as we can! What are your favorites? Originally a series of short stories that led to novels and then the wildly popular video game series with over 50 millions copies sold. All that led to the creation of the Netflix series. Henry Cavill campaigned for the role being a huge fan of the video games and served us wonderfully as Geralt. A mix of medieval action, magic, and monsters The Witcher earns it's spot among Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings in the realm of fantasy adventure stories. We join a humble bard as he recalls the tales of the White Wolf who prevailed so pour yourself some ale! And if you're on a dry January well - Fuck.

The doors outside of comic shops were lined with mourners on that comic book Wednesday. The Man of Tomorrow, The Last Son of Krypton, The Metropolis Kid, The Man of Steel - Superman was dead. Fans wept as they reached for the black polybagged issue, eager to see how our greatest hero could possibly leave us. Major news outlets across the world reported on how Earth's Mightiest Champion was finally and tragically meeting his demise. It was news that rocked the comic world, the fans of Big Blue and the entire planet. Now 30 years later we look back on story that was arguably one of the greatest Superman stories ever told. Also we look at how our hosts , Double A and CM, faced up against possibly their first major collectible event as comic book collectors and fans. We are going to talk Brian's currently available works as well as upcoming projects and also what goes into self-publishing your own work. Additionally we want to know how Brain managed to land one the best comic book artists around in Ariel Olivetti to draw The Christmas Bandits. Tragically on November 19, 2022, many of us lost someone who was incredibly dear to our childhood. Actor Jason David Frank died at the too young age of 49. For most of his fans it was JDFs' portrayal of Tommy Oliver throughout The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers franchise. Starting as The Green Ranger then becoming The White Ranger. He would eventually wear the mantle of the Red Ranger (Zeo/Turbo) and Black Ranger (Dino Thunder). While being a Ranger was what we knew and loved him for - it was his dedication to the franchise and fan interactions that left an indelible mark on his fans and us. When people say you should never meet your heroes that was the exact opposite truth with JDF. May the Power Protect you Always Jason David Frank - and we will never forget how you made us forever shout IT'S MORPHIN' TIME!!!!
