  • Your Breast Imaging Questions, Answered

Okay, quick show of hands: Who here actually knows the difference between a mammogram, an ultrasound, and an MRI?

That’s exactly why we’re jumping in this week to define and highlight the screening options available to women. When it comes to breast cancer, early detection matters and knowing what to expect can go a long way to helping us feel less anxious and more informed. Joining me today is Dr. Nakiisa Rogers, a radiologist with Radiology of Indiana who partners with Hancock Health.

    Specifically this episode highlights:

    - The differences between mammograms, ultrasounds, and MRIs

    - Current recommendations for screenings (including dense breast tissue supplementary options)

    - How to navigate anxiousness around screenings

  • Breast Screening Recommendations

Breast screening may seem straightforward, but for many women, it comes with a lot of questions. When should I start? How often should I go? Is a mammogram enough?

In this episode of Just Jenn, we explore both the medical and emotional sides of breast care with Calee Hochstedler, a nurse practitioner at Hancock Health’s High Risk Breast Clinic. Calee breaks down what breast screening actually is, current screening recommendations and frequency, and why screening is such an important tool for detecting breast cancer early.

It’s a conversation designed to replace confusion and worry with a little more clarity and confidence when it comes to caring for your breasts.
