Pat Jankiewicz is an actor that has done plenty of roles. In this conversation, I was surprised to realized just how accomplished Pat was as a journalist. I never expected our conversation to go into Ray Bradbury and how Pat met and interviewed him. He has a million stories about all the things he’s seen and done, and we talk about some of them here, including Stan Lee, his college career, and more. Plus, every so often, we hear from Tim Chizmar as we talk.

This was recorded at a Denny’s so there is some background noise, but still, a lot of fun. Pat is awesome. Take a listen.

Yes, this chat is very late making it to the air, but here is my conversation with Brian Feehan from San Diego Comic Con. We talk romance. Brian is a second generation author and we touch on that briefly before Brian and I go back and forth on a variety of things. There is some background noise as I recorded this on the con floor, but I really enjoyed meeting Brian. Better late than never. Have a listen.

David Andry joins the podcast!

What is good? David and I talk about it in terms of storytelling. We talk about good as in story, and the only good that matters. We talk about good comic stories in Invincible, X Men, Batman. We explore the connections between the human conditions and superheroes and talk so much more. We also have fun with the comics from the 90s. Chapel fans get their love here. Plus, we talk about the kind of stories David wants to tell. David is an awesome dude. It was a pleasure to chat with him.

Laurie Calcaterra joins the show! We intended to talk about her book (which is awesome) but ended up talking about politics, life, our existential dread, before coming back to the book and her writing out events in the comic that turned out real.

Then we get to the comic Path of the Pale Rider, and it’s awesome. I love the concept. I loved talking to Laurie. Take a listen.
