Tonight's guest, Jessica Boudreau is married and mom of two plus she has been a dental hygienist for 34 years. As a child, her upbringing was to keep active and Jessica has done that and more. She lives in a small community on Cape Breton Island and when she started running Jessica would use the hydro poles to help keep track of her distance. Jessica tells us how she was nervous starting out and would pretend to be walking as cars would go by but that quickly ended. She does kayaking and paddleboarding plus has been a swimmer her entire life. Jessica ran her first marathon back in 2009 in Halifax and finished only 4 minutes off from qualifying for Boston. She learned how to breathe properly and then in 2010 hit her number in the PEI marathon and made it to Boston. Always looking for a new challenge Jessica started doing Triathlons. It was a natural progression for her. Then in 2019, Jessica was diagnosed with Classic Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She underwent Kimo and radiation but kept on running and doing charity events. A truly inspiring story that you won't want to miss, listen to Jessica's passion and how she believes in always climbing that mountain. We believe your really going to enjoy this episode.
