In this weeks episode, the Bruddas give their answers on what the ceiling is for the squads that'll take part in the state playoffs starting next week. Kai and Laieke also discuss the Little League Softball World Series coming to Greenville, NC on a five year deal. We're back! The Just Like Bruddas Podcast has returned after a one month hiatus. We've made some documentaries over the last month (which you can check out on the Strika'Lites YouTube channel), but Kai and Laieke are back to talk about the last month of basketball in the WJG coverage area. On episode 27, the Bruddas celebrated the holiday season with croissants and high school basketball tournaments around the Hoop State. Kai highlights the Bunn, John Jacob's, South Johnston, North Johnston, and FCA holiday tournaments and which key matchups he likes the most. On episode 26, the Bruddas welcomed Washington High School interim head football coach Perry Owens to the show! Owens was the offensive coordinator for the Pam Pack for the past several seasons and 2019 was a big year for his offense. They broke multiple school records in many offensive statistics both team wise and individually. Washington went to the third round of the 2-AA state playoffs where they were upset by a very good Salisbury team one game short of the east regional championship. On the show, he talked about his start in football in Edenton and then at Old Dominion University along with how the West swept all eight football state championships in North Carolina. On episode 25, the Bruddas welcomed Prep Hoops NC contributor, Basketball Elite Director of Scouting, Fab 40 camp director and Basketball Elite Prospect Combine founder Charles Clark to the show! Clark is a Fayetteville native who has been in the scouting industry for the last several years and he got his start with Basketball Elite. Kai recapped the highly anticipated Clayton vs. Princeton matchup that took place for the first time since 2002. Laieke and Miles recapped the Good Guys vs. Cancer showcase held at First Flight High School in Kill Devil Hills. Kai asked Miles about what he sees in the perfect high school basketball prospect and the three look ahead to the upcoming John Wall Holiday Invitational in Raleigh.
