  • Episode 101 - Google Analytics

Onward and upward, here is Episode 101 of Just Talking with my guest Justin Cutroni. If you Google Justin you will likely find is book, about Google Analytics and his blog, also about Google Analytics. Given those two search results and the title of this podcast it probably will not come as a shock to find out that we spend the majority of this podcast talking about his book, the value of web analytics and what the future holds for that industry.

If you're not familiar with web analytics, consider this your appetizer. If you are familiar with the power of web analytics, you are among friends. Enjoy.

Follow Justin on Twitter @justincutroni and if you want to learn more about web analytics, start with this blog.

  • Episode 100 - Me, Myself and I

Here at last, is Episode 100. Rather than a best-of or some kind of montage of moments from the past 99 episodes, this one is all about me. The lovely Dayle is hosting this week and I get to play the role of special guest. The hour is spent looking back at the origins of the podcast, highlighting favorite moments and answering questions submitted by you, the listener.

I couldn't have reached this milestone without the support of each and every one of you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for supporting this adventure of mine. Here's to another one hundred.

  • Episode 97 - That's Our Opinion

On August 23, 2011 the entire East Coast experienced an earthquake today. Of slightly lesser importance but infinitely more enjoyment comes Episode 97 of Just Talking featuring Talking About Games community member and cohost of "That's Our Opinion" Eddie (or The Great One as he would like to be called). This podcast is filled with talk about gaming as a parent, parenting a young gamer, representing Jersey better than those crazy kids on MTV, life as a bouncer, the Dallas Cowboys and the previously mentioned podcasting sensation - That's Our Opinion. Lucky for you, you don't have to evacuate the area to listen to this one. Enjoy.

Keep up with Eddie on Twitter at @tg1_eddie and follow his podcast @ThatsOurOpinion.

  • Public Service Announcement #3 - Episode 100

For those of you keeping score at home, Episode 100 of my humble little podcast is just a few weeks away. The guest for Episode 100 will be...

    Me.

Dayle has been kind enough to "host" Episode 100 and I will get to tell my tales of gaming, diabetes, podcasting and whatever else comes up. And to that "whatever else", I am putting this PSA out here to get some input from all of you. If you have any questions you would like answered or topics discussed from my point of view, here is your golden opportunity. If you have a question you want to ask or a topic you'd love my input or opinion on send them in to [email protected] and they will find their way into the podcast. As always, your contiued support of this adventure is most appreciated.

And finally he is a huge Television fan.

As you have probably guessed, we spend the duration talking about the many aspects of teaching, why chemical engineering may not be all it's cracked up to be, what makes tennis a sport of great theater, and there's a lengthy discussion about the Philadelphia Eagles to round things out. Enjoy.

  • Episode 95 - 8 Points, 9 Seconds

It is a well documented fact that my Mom raised me as a New York Knicks fan. Sure, the past few years haven't been the best, but I continue to remain faithful to the Knickerbockers. Sharing my love of basketball in Episode 95 is Jared Wade, founder of BothTeamsPlayedHard.net and eightpointsnineseconds.com. We spend the hour talking about the the Indiana Pacers, the differences between basketball journalists and bloggers, the perks of being an ESPN Affiliate and why the current lockout isn't the worst thing in the world depending on your perspective on the situation. Enjoy.

  • Episode 94 - Animas Corporation

What started as a Google+ notification evolved into a podcast appearance. Isn't social media great? Chris Campbell, Product Director for Patient Marketing at Animas Corporation is my guest this week. We spend some time talking about his work at Animas, the impact of the diabetes online community on his work and how social media plays a role in the ongoing dialog between Animas and its customers. It's always nice to know that corporations, big or small, are listening to what "we" have to say and it's clear Chris and his coworkers are paying attention.

After the diabetes talk, we dig into a few Philadelphia-related topics: colleges, Eagles, Phillies and booing Santa. Believe me, this is a good one. Enjoy.

You can follow Chris on Twitter at @cgc0211 and if you're interested in what Animas has to offer as far as insulin pumps are concerned, let me know.

  • Episode 93 - Blogging Diabetes

As this podcast is being published I am enjoying the calming effect of the beach's crashing waves. While I enjoy the sand between my toes, let me present Episode 93 of Just Talking with diabetes blogger and now podcaster Tony Rose. We cover the range of diabetes questions including his diagnosis, life as a husband with diabetes and life as a parent with two children with diabetes. We also discuss his blog and among other topics, why he decided to allow sponsorship on his blog. Finally the podcast. Why a podcast? Why a solo-cast? How has his show evolved after a handful of episodes. There's plenty to get to in this episode. Enjoy.

You can follow Tony on Twitter @blogdiabetes and check out his blog (and his podcast) at http://bloggingdiabetes.com.
