The next pro-Trump rally is slated for DC on Saturday, September 18th. Although it's difficult to fathom, this rally is actually being held IN SUPPORT OF those who attacked the US Capitol on January 6.

Even as the federal government is preparing to protect the Capitol on 9/18, we are learning more about the Capitol attack on 1/6, courtesy of some information revealed via a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.

Additionally, the US Capitol Police issued a press release today about an arrest of a many outside the Democratic National Committee Headquarters.

As the insurrection cases continue to work their way through the court system, approximately 10% of those charged in the January 6 attack on the US Capitol have now entered guilty pleas, with the first insurrection case set to go to trial on October 18.

In an important signal that the investigation may be moving on to some of the most serious potential charges, the FBI stated in a search warrant that it is now investigating "seditions conspiracy" charges.

The House Select Committee investigating the insurrection has requested 35 telecommunications companies preserve their records in anticipation of future subpoenas. Kevin McCarthy and Marjorie Taylor Greene not only objected to the companies preserving their records but make threats that squarely constitute obstruction of a congressional proceeding.

In an almost comical turn of events, after a dozen Republicans complain vociferously that Congress can't make these preservations requests and that the telecom companies must not comply with these requests, a new letter appears, signed by Gaetz, Gohmert, Greene, Gosar and others, requesting that the telecom companies do exactly what the Republicans allege they can't do - preserve the phone records of Kamala Harris, Pelosi, OAC and others. Folks, you can't make this stuff up.

In breaking news, President Biden has moved to revoke Trump appointments to military academy advisory boards for Trump loyalists Kellyanne Conway, Sean Spicer, H.R. McMaster and eight others. It certainly is important to remove from government all individuals who were doing Trump's dirty bidding.

After House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy obstructed the House Select Committee's investigation of the Capitol attack by telling telecommunications companies not to cooperate with the investigation and threatening that, if they did, the GOP "would not forget" it when they took power, eleven Republican members of Congress joined McCarthy's obstructive efforts. The House Select Committee investigating the January 6 attack on the US Capitol is seeking phone records from telecommunications companies as part of its investigation. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy told the telecommunications companies not to comply with the Congressional requests and threatened that if they did, the GOP "would not forget it" once they are in power. This is a brazen act of obstructing a congressional investigation. The Department of Justice must address this promptly or else there likely will be more obstructive conduct by McCarty and perhaps others, as lawlessness begets lawlessness.

In a move that is deeply damaging to the credibility and legitimacy of the US Supreme Court, the Court declined to stop an unconstitutional Texas law from going into effect. The Texas authorities passed a law saying a woman can not have an abortion after a fetal heartbeat is detected - at about 6 weeks of the pregnancy - which directly violates the Supreme Court precedent of Roe v. Florida Judge John C. Cooper tells Governor Ron DeSantis - in substance - to go pound sand, ruling that DeSantis can not stop Florida schools from requiring masks to protect children, teachers, staff and, by extension, all Floridians.
