Justice's First Dawn: A Classic Justice League of America Podcast

Is this the issue that comes close to killing me? Maybe I can't blame Justice League of America 84 for the cold I developed... and which I apologize for the quality of my voice for... but it certainly did NOT help boost morale. Oh boy... I'd give you a teaser in this description, but maybe it's for the best you hear for yourselves! Some nightmares defy conventional descriptions! But should YOU wish to unleash your Pax Serum hangover rants about this issue, by all means leave me a comment on the podcast page, or feel free to drop me an email at [email protected]! As always, thanks so much for your time, and hope you enjoy!

Does Red Tornado exist SOLELY to make the lives of the Justice League and Justice Society members more difficult? Is the Anti-Monitor all that original, when we see the scheme Creator-Squared has cooked up? And finally... can we FINALLY start getting some ladies on either team that know how to kick butt and take names?!?  All these questions, and more, will be addressed in the next JLA/JSA crossover in issues 82 and 83! All this, plus the usual extras you know and... probably tolerate! Feedback is always welcome, so feel free to drop an email to [email protected], or you can always leave a comment on the Podbean page! Thanks again for your time, hope you enjoy, and this episode is dedicated to my dear departed kitty Isis. She'll be missed...

Happy Labor Day, my friends!  Celebrate it however you choose, whether it be like Jean Loring who's going insane... again, or like Green Lantern and Green Arrow who are just ignoring an emergency summons to just go camping, or EVEN like the Galactic Jest-Master who is sharing some of his favorite "scented oils" with our mightiest heroes to make sure they have some "good times"!  All this is to be found in my coverage of the should-have-been-talked-about-last-episode-issue "Justice League of America" 81!  You can also find the usual assortment of craziness that is wrapped around this dope's show coverage!  As always, feedback is much appreciated either as a comment on the show posting, or at [email protected]!  Also, as always, thanks for your time and hope you enjoy!

It figures if I start one podcast, I have to start the other!  So welcome back to Count Dante's Black Dragon Society Ad-Cast!  Two books per guest, loads of reminiscing, and hopefully some laughs and fun memories!  And my friend helping me lift the load for the show's return is Mike Staley of the "Silent Knight: The Cassandra Cain Podcast", found at https://www.podomatic.com/podcasts/silentknight!  So listen, enjoy, and thanks for your time!

Regular again, with slightly less randomization, I'm back to talk about "Justice League of America" issue 80!  In this, we get to see awesome dramatic highlights with the Flash and Superman, we get to puzzle over how a specific Green Lantern knows Superman, even though they've not been acknowledged of having met yet, and we get to facepalm at how Black Canary gets treated!  All this, plus the usual fun you enjoy about the show!  And if you wish to get in contact, please feel free to drop me some feedback through [email protected]!  Thanks as always for your time!

School's out for Summer... but it's time to get back to podcasting about the Justice League!  And what better way to get the show back on track!  But it's not just enough that I cover a two-parter... nor having both issues be GIANT-SIZED... not EVEN having this be a Justice League and Justice Society team-up!  No, to also welcome them back to the current DC Universe, this also features a guest-appearance by the 30th Century Champions, the Legion of Super-Heroes!  All this, plus TONS of catchup and other titles to comment on!  So get comfy... you'll need to!  And as always, your thoughts are always welcome via email at [email protected]!  Thanks!

Miss me much?  (It's really okay if you're just listening to this episode to "collect them all" for the event!)  But I've come back for a brief reunion gig to talk about the two "Justice League of America" issues that crossed over with the "Blackest Night" event, 39 and 40!  And if you regret my not getting to the Justice League Detroit period, this episode will... kinda scratch that itch.  Featuring the awesome artwork of Mark Bagley!  Featuring the... well, it's on a written page writing of James Robinson!  Featuring the version of Doctor Light that I still detest to this very day!  All that, and more craziness!  Hope you all enjoy, and who knows... You may see me again sooner rather than later!  (Maybe with this show coming back for an episode, that makes ME technically a Black Lantern...)

Hopefully you still remember your Barry White tunes, and have the strawberries with whipped cream ready, because it's part TWO of Ultraa Love Month!  And today our blazing ball of Earth-Prime love tackles both the Justice League AND the returning Injustice Gang of the World in JLA issue 158!  What effects do a negative wave beam have on both our heroes and villains?  Who is this mysterious cloaked figure that leads the Injustice Gang to their new plot of vengeance?  The answers to these questions, along with assorted stops of fun, await you!  So unless you're busy hiding from yet ANOTHER super-battle in Central City, then head on over to a computer and type out your thoughts to the show's email, [email protected]!  And a sincere thanks for all of your time and enjoyment!

Warm up the jacuzzi... Put on the Kenny G CD as background music... And open up that discount holiday bag of Lindt truffles!  It's the first part of Ultraa Love Month for February!  That's right, this ENTIRE month is dedicated to the ONLY super-hero of Earth Prime! Our Earth!  With locks of red hair that would have made Axl Rose in his prime jealous!  And in issue 153, we see his introduction!  We also get to see a cameo by Julius Schwartz, Green Arrow acting like a PRIME jerk, and how Green Lantern Corps members handle a certain specific alien species!  All this, plus the usual cover date comics fun, and YOUR listener feedback!  So feel free to program your Maxitron to compose an email, and send it to [email protected]!  And as ever, thanks for your time and enjoyment!

Time for another double-length episode!  Hey, blame two 100-page super-spectaculars, that were released in a 4 month cover date time span!  So, let's keep THIS part simple!  Justice League of America issues 111 and 112!  The debut of Libra and the Injustice Gang!  The return of Amazo!  All this, plus your listener feedback!  So, gather up that half of a feedback leaving ability, and please send something towards [email protected]!  And a FULL thanks for your time and enjoyment!
