Erica brings to the show a wealth of knowledge about transitioning your child/adolescent/young adult back to school after enjoying their summer! We will be discussing how to physically and emotionally prepare them for the return, and what they will need from a parent and teacher prespective. How anxiety can impact their return, such as transitioning from elementary to middle school, worrying about bullying, making friends, academics, and organization. Matching your child with teachers! How to approach the school with your concerns about the teacher your child will have, and how to facilitate the change. Communication with teachers, and the importance of establishing this at the very beginning of the school year! How to encourage your college student to utilize their acomodations, and helping them ask for help! We will also have a short conversation about IEP Goals, and 504 plans!

Lilly is also an accomplished singer, song writer, and will discuss how her creativity, helped her with the negative symptoms related to ADHD. Debbie, will be talking about her own struggles with ADHD. Debbie, will give us all some tips on how she parented Lilly, highlighting her total acceptance of Lilly for who she is, not what she does! Don't miss this show! Teaching Parents to Help Their ADHD Child

Please join me this Sunday, April 24, 2016, at 4:00pm, PST, as I welcome Lollie Weeks, AKA The Fortuitous Housewife, to the program.

Lollie is a writer, blogger, photographer, social media marketing consultant, website designer, ADHD parent mentor, aspiring ADHD Coach, and a parent of 2 young boys, ages 8 and 10, who have ADHD.

Lollie, is currently facilitating, a ADHD parent group, for parents with newly diagnosed children with ADHD. This group is just outside of Boston.

Lollie's passion, is working with parents, as they first embark on their new ADHD journey. She would like to help these parents, and children, understand their rights, and find the proper resources, that will fit their unique needs.

TMS as a Treatment for Depression, and the Link Between ADD and Depression

Dr. Tendler brings years of experience in the treatment of mental disorders as a psychiatrist. Dr. Tendler graduated in 2002 from State University of New York Downstate Medical School in Brooklyn with Distinction in Research. From 2002-2004, he trained at Tulane University in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry followed by two years at the University of Chicago in General Psychiatry, where he was chief resident of the consultation liaison service and course director for psychosomatic medicine. Dr. Tendler is Board Certified in General Psychiatry, Sleep Medicine and Behavioral Sleep Medicine. In 2006, Dr. Tendler established Advanced Mental Health Care Inc. in Florida, which has since served over 4,000 patients in Palm Beach County, Florida.
