Welcome back!  In today's episode, we talk about expressing gratitude through words and service. We can always give thanks to God and show Him we're appreciative of not just His blessings but His presence in our lives in so many ways such as, being kind to others, serving those around us regardless of how we feel, paying our tithes (not robbing the bank of heaven), attending chruch and fellowship with gladness and praise, stewarding our lives in a way that pleases Him and simply just staying near to Him always. Giving thanks to God through word and service shouldnt be a choice but rather a way of life.

1 Thessalonian 5:18 NKJV

''in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.''

Welcome back! In today's episode, we start our Salvation Series! WOOOOO! In the first episode of this series, we delve into the meaning of sin, misconceptions surrounding it, and the need to stay consistent in our awareness of God's grace. Sin is beyond what we believe is wrong, but rather what God says is wrong. In 1 Corinthian 6:9-11 God reveals through Paul the unrigtheous ways we must turn from due to our salvation received through the death of Jesus Christ.

Sin sometimes can be very overwhelming to overcome, you may wonder if you could ever defeat it or turn away from things that pull you away from God. The answer is yes, you can defeat, with God. On our own we would never be able to but, with God, all things are possible beyond our imagination.

1 John 5:4-5 NKJV

''For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world - our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God''

Welcome back! In today’s episode, we reflect on the true meaning of Easter, its significance and Jesus' death on the cross; the perfect gift from a perfect heavenly Father. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son to die for our sins, who else can love you like this...huuuhhh ( it's giving John 3:16). This easter we encourage to truly reflect on the life, death and ressurection of Jesus Christ, the foundation of our faith is based on this. Show gratitude, reverence and hope in God and in the fact that the blood that was shed on the cross truly freed you.

Romans 10:8-11 NKJV

 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”

Welcome back! In today’s episode, Tomi has some questions for us (yaaaaay!), we reflect on our red and green flags, and speak on the topic of 'second chances'. Ephesians 4:32 says ''And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.'', encouraging as to be compassionate towards others, truly forgiving which relates to second chances. Christ gave us a second chance (multiple chances in fact), so who are to not give second chances to people, BUT! wisdom has to be exercised because a second chance may not mean what you believe it to be, it could also speak to your heart posture towards that person, not thinking or wishing evil upon them but rather praying that God sees them and draws them near to Him. Don't run back to toxic environments in the name of second chances.... apply context and wisdom to everything and most importantly pray and allow God to guide you, He genuinely wants to do life with you.

''Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness''

Welcome back! In today’s episode, we talk about the different ways we have come to know God since we first gave our lives to Him. As important as it is to know God, don't forget that God wants to know you too. He wants to look at you and see His child. But how do we walk in this daily? If we look at Matthew 7:22-23 (nkjv of coursseee) it says '' Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’' What I love about these verses is the revelation that reliance and emphasis on our works will not move God to know. Once again it's all about our heart posture, humbling ourselves before God is the start, obedience comes next.

1 Samuel 15:22 NKJV

 '' So Samuel said:

“Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams''
