Grammy nominated and crowd favourite Armin van Buuren, returns to Australia after dominating worldwide with his ‘A State of Trance’ radio show and festivals.  

Over 1500 Red Frog volunteers provide direct relief, safety and support to young people during Schoolies/Leavers Week across 16 locations.

Red Frogs recognises that the culture of young people is dominated by alcohol. In situations such as Schoolies/Leavers Week, excessive consumption of alcohol and other substances means that things can often get out of hand and potentially alter the direction of a young person’s future. Our volunteers act as the eyes and ears in accommodation venues and out on the streets, providing a positive peer presence to school leavers.

It's been one year since Respect Victoria was enshrined in legislation, becoming Victoria’s first agency dedicated to the prevention of all forms of family violence and violence against women.

The establishment of Respect Victoria represents a critical component of Victoria's family violence architecture, fulfilling Recommendation 188 of the Royal Commission into Family Violence.

Respect Victoria leads on two of the five pillars outlined in Free from Violence: Victoria’s strategy to prevent family violence and all forms of violence against women – to engage and communicate with the community, and research and evaluate.

Anniversaries are important milestones, and they rarely get opportunities to celebrate in their line of work. Too often, a scan of the news headlines adds a new name to the list of lives lost to violence, and reminds us of the far-reaching, devastating impact that violence has on families and communities across Victoria.

Primary prevention means stopping violence before it starts. As it currently stands, family violence results in a police call-out every two minutes in Australia. If we can change attitudes that lead to early forms of family violence and violence against women, then over the course of a generation we can change the statistics that occur at the other end of the violence spectrum.

Change doesn’t happen quickly, but Respect Victoria’s legislative remit means an enduring focus and funding for family violence prevention.

Madison Avenue are Australia’s iconic 90’s dance music and pop duo, featuring legendary DJ and producer: Andy Van and singer and lyricist: Cheyne Coates.  

They tattooed their place in the music industry with their hit anthem: ‘Don’t’ Call Me Baby.’ The track skyrocketed on the Australian music charts in November 1999, including gravitating across oceans, selling over one million copies and topping the UK, European and U.S Billboard Dance Charts in the early 2000’s! The artist relationship between Andy Van and Cheyne Coates came into fruition via their love of music inside nightclubs.  Initially, the duo collaborated as writers on a track: ‘Fly’ with Kellie Wolfgram as the vocalist, until Cheyne Coates was established as the front woman of the duo, with the release of Madison Avenue’s number one hit song: ‘Don’t Call Me Baby’ which was picked up by DJs everywhere and added to radio stations globally.  In 2000, Madison Avenue released their debut Album ‘Polyester Embassy’ featuring the number #1 tracks: ‘Don’t Call Me Baby’ and follow-up single: ‘Who the Hell Are You?’ (debuting in Australia at #1 one week after ‘Don’t Call Me Baby’ reached #1 in the UK) as well as a cover version of the Little River Band’s song: ‘Reminiscing.’  

 The music accolades for Madison Avenue continued, thus winning the ‘Best Dance Artist’ at the International Dance Awards in 2001 in Miami, an award that nominated international superstars such as: Destiny's Child, Madonna, *NSYNC and Britney Spears.  Back home in Australia, they won 6 ARIA Awards, including: ‘Record of the Year,’ ‘Best New Artist Single,’ ‘Highest Selling Single’ and 2 ‘Best Video’ Awards (where Madison Avenue drew with themselves). In 2019, it’s time to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Madison Avenue’s international number one track: ‘Don’t Call Me Baby’ which is a true testament to the successful longevity in the Australian dance and pop music scene.  The duo now work separately in the music industry, Andy Van continues to work as a successful DJ / Producer & Record Label Owner at Vicious Recordings and Cheyne Coates is a songwriter writing tracks for other Artists.  It’s time to flashback to the 90’s and early 2000’s & to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Madison Avenue’s iconic hit: ‘Don’t Call Me Baby!’

US singer songwriter AJ Mitchell gained a following in 2017 after posting clips of himself singing and performing covers on YouTube and Instagram. 
His first independent single, "Used To Be", was written by Mitchell at age 13 and has over 60 million streams.
Mitchell has three songs which have reached the top 40 on the US radio charts, the July 2018 release "Girls", which reached No. 39, the March 2019 release "All My Friends", which reached No. 24, and "Slow Dance" (featuring Ava Max), which broke into the Top 40 charts in October of 2019.
