Jesus isn't setting up a new type of patriarchy for families that is more benevolent and kinder than Roman (or American) patriarchy...he is setting up a new Kingdom where he rules with love, mercy, gentleness and justice...and we ALL submit to that.

Christians are chosen as diplomats of the Kingdom of God, to represent the King in a foreign land...this is what “mission” is

Do you live as if you have unmitigated access to God or as if you need a "priest" (right person, place, practice) to be "spiritual"?

Following Jesus entails trials and hardships, but the reward is always worth it.

Being "born again" means more than believing the right thing, it means reorienting your existence to the life and Kingdom of Jesus

We live between two cities: the old (Babylon) built on power, greed & destruction-the new (Jerusalem) being built on love, humility & grace

The reality of the Kingdom of God beckons us to live "On earth as it is in heaven"..."church" is figuring out how
