The legendary Taps McFirkin has lived a long life of beer-fueled danger and adventure and his exploits are wonderfully captured in this heel-pounding, pint-raising tune, "The Debauching Ballad of Taps McFirkin." The song is part of The Longest Day of the Year's five-track EP, "Coffee Stains," which is out now.
As a special to KalamaBrew readers — or all those ladies who have been smitten by Taps McFirkin — you can download the entire album for 50 percent off. Just enter "mcfirkin" when you go to buy the full EP and you get the entire EP for $2.50. The deal lasts for the next two weeks, so get to buyin'.
Earlier this week, GetBoulder called The Longest Day of the Year one of the top Up and Coming Bands in the Boulder area.

First up of course, is Oberon. Need we say more? How about canjo?
If that's not enough, there's still Nemesis, a new place to sample some of Michigan's finest craft beers, wines and spirits, not to mention all the awards and attention our favorite beer state received from RateBeer.com this week.
If that's still not enough, how about the fact that Arcadia Ales in Battle Creek is revamping all of their labels?
Enjoy.
