We are talking about Kanye West's 'DONDA' and the release parties that Kanye threw to celebrate its publication, as well as Leos Carax's new English language Sparks-soundtracked, Adam Driver-starring avant-musical film 'Annette'. While both art works are wildly imperfect, there is something about the spectacle around the art works themselves that creates a Debordian situationist spectacle that demands attention with outré ideas.
