On this Freedom Friday, we celebrated the freedom that comes from having a relationship with Jesus and no longer being in darkness. Sometimes, we can do all the right things but remain lost. We could attend church every Sunday, participate in Bible Study, sing with the choir, volunteer,  etc., but still not know who Christ is. The testimonies shared by Karl and Crew this week shed some light on how each member had a false sense of salvation at a point in their walk with Christ. Today, on Karl and Crew, we continued our weekly theme of “Abide in God” by discussing the three baits that Satan uses to get us out of proximity with God. We looked at John 15, where Jesus says that we must remain connected to Him to produce fruit and that without Him, we produce nothing. Satan doesn’t want us to be connected and will try to lead us away from Jesus. We turned to Matthew 4, where we analyzed the three ways Satan tried to separate Jesus from God and how he tries to do the same to us. Oftentimes, Satan will use the Hallucination of Salvation to deter us from abiding in God. Phillip Miller joined the conversation and provided insight into how being connected and having our identity rooted in Christ is imperative. Philip is the Senior Pastor of the Moody Church. We learn to abide in Him when we dwell in His Word and become solely dependent on Him. When we do this, we will be able to bear fruit.
