Today, on Karl and Crew, we continued our weekly theme of sober-mindedness and discussed its importance during prayer. Prayer is a time of deep intimacy with God, and we need to be fully present during that time of communion with Him. Do you feel fully present during your prayers, or do you find yourself distracted? We analyzed different translations of the scripture, 1 Peter 4:7, to understand how we should approach such an intimate time with God. Today, on Karl and Crew, we continued our conversation on sober-mindedness and looked at how that quality is necessary for good leadership. The scriptures that were referenced to support sober-minded leadership are 1 Timothy 3:2, 1 Timothy 3:11, and Titus 2:2. Our special guest, Dr. Kevin Leman, joined in on the conversation and shared insight from his experience in leadership. Dr. Leman is the founder and chairman of the Leman Academy of Excellence and is an internationally recognized psychologist, author, and broadcast speaker. He has authored over 70 books including, “Be a Great Leader by Friday.” We also checked in with Karl in Zimbabwe with CURE International to learn about CURE's vital work for children.
