For some reason I found myself at the start of a path, a one way path in between foggy fields with grass. Then the path ended and I had to adjust.

It's winter, it's cold and I long for snow. The silence it brings and the overwhelming light.

Jaded and in a place that feels like no Christmas spirit can exist, out of nothing it does come to me.

Autumn is bringing back memories, I find warmth in grey skies and wet roads.

Earlier this year I submitted a piece, it was not included in a publication so I decided to publish it here now in two parts. The theme was Isolation and Emergence, since this came just after the Dutch lockdown and my own problems with that, it revolved around the emergence from this lockdown.
