In this week's episode of KASHA Talks, I sit down with Dominick Troy, Harlem-based painter and sculptor, to discuss his growing up in Philadelphia, what drives his creativity, how he navigates the balancing act of keeping his work authentic and raw yet commercially appealing, his ability to stay flexible while freelancing, and whether or not he'd "tone it down" for a multi-million-dollar deal.

KASHA Talks is back!! And this week, we are in conversation with a tremendously talented actor, DJ, Yale School of Drama Alumni, and an all-around goofy guy (his words, not mine), Sean Boyce Johnson. After his explosive television debut in the second season of ABC's drama For Life and lending his uniquely recognizable voice to HBOMax 's docuseries 4th & Forever: Muck City, Sean stopped by to chat about his challenging but not less fulfilling journey so far. We talked about his modest upbringing, growing up in Queens, pivoting from law enforcement to performance art, controversial acting techniques, and much more.  

This week on KASHA Talks, join me in a conversation with Ehizoje Azeke. A movement artist and model turned to fitness to channel his physical and mental frustration during the nation-wide lockdown and later turned to political activism to voice his rage towards the injustices that had been crippling the BIPOC community for decades. We chatted about his childhood spent in the suburbs of Illinois, the challenges and complexities of being a black model, and what it meant to be an artist in the year 2020.  

While the pandemic keeps raging throughout the world, limiting and reinventing ways in which we see and digest the entertainment Industry, Drew Scott, a two-time Grammy-nominated producer with credits including Zendaya, Fantasia, and Jake Miller,  shows no signs of slowing down. This week on KASHA Talks, I caught up with Drew during his latest visit to New York and chatted about scoring his biggest hit yet with Red Velvet's Psycho, how he discovered music and producing, and him ditching Chris Brown's recording session.

This week on KASHA Talks I am chatting with rising Broadway talent and New Jersey native - Kevin Csolak. 2 weeks after the opening of the new (and already controversial) revival of West Side Story, we talk in full detail about a fresh, unconventional take on the classic tale.  As well as Kevin's audition for Steven Spielberg and the opportunity to play a different character in the movie version of WSS! We also touch upon his experience in Mean Girls The Musical and that time he got to perform with Justin Timberlake at the Super Bowl Halftime show. 

On this week's episode of KASHA Talks I got together with LA's very own singer/song writer - Gavin Turek to discuss her upcoming project, growing up in an artistic family, what it really means to be an independent artist in today's music industry, personal ups and downs and wether she would ever try herself as a reality tv star. 

For this week's episode of KASHA Talks, I sit down with fashion designer, published author and former Parsons School of Design professor - Joshua Katcher to talk about sustainable fashion, animal cruelty on the Industry level and his book "Fashion Animals" (the process and struggles behind writing it). We also touch on Veganism as a philosophy to live by and what it means to embrace a new lifestyle as an adventure.

This week on KASHA Talks I'm chatting with celebrity fashion stylist Doug Hickman Jr. (Michelle Williams, Jay Ellis, Siddiq Saunderson, Kofi Siriboe, Keith Powers) about breaking into the competitive world of fashion, importance of having a mentor ... or not having one, creative do's and don'ts, and the projects he has been working on to spread the message of representation.
