Auntie Gladys, a mother of four, has narrated how her husband impregnated two of their daughters in a kiosk at Kasoa SCC in the Weija Gbawe Municipality of the Greater Accra Region. The suspect, Kweku Boateng, who happens to be the step-father of the girls, has since been arrested by the Kasoa Tollbooth Police.

The Commercial Division of the Accra High Court is expected to commence the trial in which Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Benjamin Agodzor, Dr Frederick Yaw Mac-Palm and eight others are standing trial for alleged treason. The rest – Colonel Samuel Kodzo Gameli, Donya Kafui, Bright Alan Debrah Ofosu, Johannes Zikpi, Corporal Seidu Abubakar, Lance Corporal Ali Solomon, Warrant Officer (WOII) and Corporal Sylvester Akanpewon – have all pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Another police officer, a 50-year-old, has allegedly shot himself dead in Tema in the Greater Accra region. DSP Divine Asiam, with the prosecution unit (Jupol) of the Tema Police Command, according to Starr News sources, shot himself in his room Sunday morning. He passed on at the Police Hospital. It is unclear the reason for the action.

Residents of Obuasi are threatening mob action against a man identified as Agyenim Boateng for allegedly murdering his step-brother. The suspect was residing peacefully in the same house with the victim, Kwame Nii, before a misunderstanding ensued over a television.

Mr Rojo Mettle Nunoo in his testimony for Mr John Mahama in the Supreme Court today, stated that he was sacked from the EC Strong Room during the collation of the electoral figures because he noted some discrepancies in the collation and was vocal about it.

A 28-year-old woman, who has been identified as Jennifer Mier, has allegedly committed suicide by hanging at Atebubu in the Bono East Region. According to some residents, the deceased threatened to kill herself after her mother supported her younger sister during an argument

The Supreme Court is currently hearing the cross-examination of the petitioner’s first witness in the 2020 election petition. Johnson Asiedu Nketia was last Friday cross-examined by counsel for the Electoral Commission, Justin Amenuvor. Also, a video allegedly involving Mr Nketia was played in open court today to enable the court to ascertain its admissibility on the grounds of relevance.
