Roads and Highways Minister, Kwasi Amoako-Attah says the country’s precarious financial situation has affected some of his outfit’s infrastructure projects. According to him, the situation has made it difficult for the Ministry to repair the many deplorable roads. He made these comments when he took his turn before Parliament’s Government Assurances Committee.

The site designated for the construction of the La General Hospital has reportedly been turned into an okro farm. This came to light when Minority members of the Parliamentary Health Committee paid a working visit to the site to access the progress of work on Wednesday.

A 45-year-old woman, Yaa Prah, who went missing for three days, has been found trapped inside a public toilet facility at Enyan Asempanyim in the Ajumako Enyan Esiem District of the Central Region. A speeding sprinter bus has crashed to death a father and his son on the Obuasi Dunkwa road in the Ashanti Region. The father has been identified as 45-year-old Kwame Gyasi and his four-year-old son Nurudeen who were on a motorbike.

A gynecologist at the St Francis Xavier Hospital in Assin Fosu in the Central Region, Dr Patrick Yamoah has died in an accident at Anwiaso in the Adansi Asokwa District of the Ashanti Region. The gynecologist was reported to have been travelling from Assin towards Kumasi on Wednesday, 24 August 2022, when the accident occurred.

Personnel deployed to ensure the improvement in sanitation are already crying foul. Some members of the taskforce in parts of the Greater Accra Region are contesting claims that they are perpetrating illegalities. Scores of them who picketed The Multimedia Groups raised concerns about purported attempts to undermine their hard work.
