The Supreme Court has in a unanimous 9-0 decision affirmed its April 13 decision that granted an injunction against Assin North MP, James Gyakye Quayson. The court on April 13 restrained Mr Quayson from holding himself as a Member of Parliament for the constituency.

A protest by students of the Islamic Senior High School at Abrepo in the Ashanti Region turned tragic as police reportedly fired tear gas at them. Reports say not less than 30 of the students have been rushed to the hospital after they collapsed.

A 38-year-old victim of the Appiatse explosion that killed 13 people has also passed on. The deceased, Paul Asare is said to be one of the residents who sustained severe injuries in the ghastly explosion on January 21, 2022.

A 15-year-old Junior High School (JHS) female student, (name withheld) has been left emotionally traumatized after being physically subjected to beatings and sexually harassed by two boys who were hired by her stepfather for sleeping outside. The incident happened at Akyem-Ofoase in the Akyemansa District of the Eastern region last week Sunday.

The mother of the little girl whose father tried to kill her for ritual sacrifice has finally broken her silence. Speaking in a shocking interview with GTV, she revealed that the girl’s father seemingly planned his sacrifice ahead of time. According to her, he came for his daughter under a ruse.
