The youth of Nkoranza in the Bono East Region have gone on a rampage as they attacked the Municipal Police headquarters demanding justice for Albert Donkor, a 28-year-old trader who was allegedly killed while in Police custody.

The MP for Nkoranza South, Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, and the people in the Constituency are demanding justice and accountability from the Ghana Police Service in respect of a suspect who died in their custody. In a press release, signed by the MP, he revealed that the Police arrested the suspect, Albert Donkor on April 25, 2022, at 1:00am from his mother’s residence at Kasadjan.

A Bole District Magistrate Court has sentenced two farmers to four years imprisonment each for stealing four goats in Tuna, a community in the Sawla Tuna Kalba District of the Savannah Region. The Court presided over by Edward Essel charged the two, Dondopour Daador, 38, and Kipo Silendong, 28, for conspiracy and stealing.ws

A snake has reportedly given a level 300 student at the Assin Fosu College of Education (FOSCO) in the Central region a painful fright when it sunk its teeth into his “genital area”. The young man said he quickly stood on his feet after feeling a pinch in his testicles only to find the snake curled up in the toilet bowl.

A 76-year-old man, Nana Boye Nkansah, has allegedly committed suicide at Assin Brofoyedru in the Assin Fosu Municipality of the Central Region. The deceased according to relatives went missing for a few hours but his lifeless body was later found hanging on a tree in their backyard.

Three persons have been shot dead in a renewed chieftaincy clash at Bawku in the Upper East Region. The clash was between Kusaasi and Mamprusi over a protracted chieftaincy dispute.

A 30-year-old man has been stoned to death for allegedly stealing plantain at Mankesim in the Mfantseman Municipality of the Central Region. According to the witnesses, the body of the deceased whose name was only given as Caleb was found tied to the palm tree.

A soldier who has been identified as Solomon Ntow has led a mob action against a suspected thief at Millennium City in the Gomoa East District of the Central region. He is reported to have beaten the suspect to pulp with the help of some neighbours.

The Assin Fosu Police Command has arrested a 15-year-old girl for allegedly faking her kidnapping and demanding a ransom of ¢20,000 from her father. An investigation conducted by Detective Inspector Bright Okyere led to the arrest of the girl who is a final year Junior High School (JHS) student.

The New Patriotic Party, NPP, has described former President John Mahama’s promise to repeal the e-levy act should he win the 2024 elections as a desperate attempt to gain credibility.
