Kate Gill (Matildas cap 127) is our special guest who works off the field every day to make football better. This month, Gill celebrates her one year anniversary at the helm of PFA as co-Chief Executive.

A prolific striker, Gill debuted for the Matildas at the age of 17, amassing 86 matches.

Domestically, Gill also played in the W-League (Newcastle Jets and Perth Glory) and won the Golden Boot twice, first in 2012-2013 and then 2014.

During the podcast, Gill reflects on her time in Sweden (Damallsvenskan) playing with AIK, Sunnanå, Malmo and Linköpings FC.

Gill was the first Australian to win AFC Women’s Player of the Year and part of the 2010 Asian Cup winning team.

Teagan Micah, played her last game with IL Sandviken in Round 7, leaving just two Aussies in the Toppserien. Word is Teagan may return to the Nordic leagues after the Olympics.

(9) Klepp IL (Nikola Orgill) played Avaldsnes away on the weekend, losing 3-0. After 2 wins at the start of the season, Klepp have fallen away and now sit 2nd last. To make matters worse, it looked like Nikola pulled a hammy at the end of the first half, and she had to be substituted.
