After years spent caring for others, Kathleen Donnelly Israel was ready for an adventure of her own. Her first walk along the Camino de Santiago trail opened her eyes to new experiences and new strengths within. But the journey was only beginning.

"I wanted to walk the Portuguese way that I walked from sunshine with in France across Spain. And then I wanted to start in Portugal and walk up," Kathleen shared of returning to complete a second Camino. Facing unpredictable obstacles with grace, she walked nearly 500 miles both times - no small feat, especially with a foot condition.

Kathleen's courage to challenge herself again highlights the gifts that can come from travel. Host Jodielynn Craven reflected on being inspired "to be able to say in you know, my lifetime that I walk to the Grand Canyon or you know, walk to this mountain or walk the Camino." The openness to new adventures allows us to discover more of who we are.

Even after two Caminos, Kathleen's sense of wonder and discovery continues. She dreams of walking Spain's northern coast and shares her wisdom through a new book about Portugal. Her story reminds us that when we step outside our comfort zones, endless possibilities may await.
