Today's podcast is Kathryn Kuhlman's second talk in "The Ten Commandments Series". She continues setting the groundwork for her series. First, she reviews the historical context of the giving of the commandments. Then she quotes Deuteronomy 8:3 and Ecclesiastes 12:13 (pasted below) in order to show that humans were created to fear God and obey His Commandments.
Deuteronomy 8:3 NKJV says "So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord."
Ecclesiastes 12:13 KJV says "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man."
Hi today's podcast is the first in her Series on the Ten commandments take from Exodus 20:1-17 (Pasted below). She puts the passage in context and gives an introduction to the Ten Commandments. Below is Exodus 20:1-17 from the "New King James Version" take care.
1 And God spoke all these words, saying:
2 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of [a]bondage.
3 “You shall have no other gods before Me.
4 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; 5 you shall not bow down to them nor [b]serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting[c] the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, 6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
7 “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
12 “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
13 “You shall not murder.
14 “You shall not commit adultery.
15 “You shall not steal.
16 “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
17 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”
An episode of Kathryn Kuhlman's classic radio show. This episode finishes her series on Matthew Chapter 6. Today she again teaches and encourages us to put God before the material things of life. Several times in this talk she uses the phrase God's "rules for living" and that is where the podcast will go Monday as we start a series on The Ten Commandments or as Kathryn calls them "God's 10 rules for living".

DISCLAIMER! This audio was very badly damaged and it took over 20 hours to repair. It is not perfect but it is the best that we can make it. Other episodes have better sound, but this is an important and very rare talk. This episode continues our series on Matthew Chapter 6. Yesterday she looked at Matthew 6:19-21, today she uses most of the remainder of the chapter to make her points. She also has a word for pastors and ministers, do what God has called you to do "Feed the Flock" and then God will take care of the finances. She strongly admonishes ministers that they have it backwards, They are trying to take care of the ministry finances themselves instead of taking care of the spiritual needs of the flock, and letting God take care of the finances. "Put the spiritual first, and then God will take care of the rest"

Matthew 6:19-21 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
