On this episode of Talking Buffalo Podcast, Patrick Moran has a chat with WKBW-TV Buffalo morning co-anchor Katie Morse on a wide variety of topics spanning her life and career.

Born and raised in Western New York, Katie talks about growing up in Amherst and some of the things she enjoyed doing in her youth. It quickly becomes apparent after a trip to Washington that broadcast news is what she wants to do with her life, and Katie puts her goals into action beginning with college at Kent State University and later Canisius College.

Katie talks about honing her craft working at YNN before getting the opportunity to join WKBW-TV in 2014. She also talks the unorthodox sleeping schedule that comes with being a morning TV news anchor, a pattern that typically results in her being up and ready to start her day by around 2:00 am every morning.

She also has thoughts on the importance of chemistry in the industry, the challenges that have come professionally with the Covid-19 pandemic, advantages of working in the town you grew up in, why she loves Western New York, her take on social media and advice for aspiring news journalists.
