KatieCasts from Katie MacAlister episodes

  • Return of KatieCast

It's been seven long years, but at last Katie is back with KatieCasts! This episode is pure Q&A where Katie answers questions posted to Facebook.

Future episodes will include behind-the-scenes looks at existing and future books.

Note: there is some background noise, mostly traffic, because Katie forgot she was supposed to be professional 'n stuff, and recorded with her door open so her animals could go outside and enjoy the sun. She has been spoken to, and promises to not lean back in her chair, or leave the door open the next time she records.

  • PKB #2 KatieCast

    Please note that there may

be spoilers in the podcast. The following are the questions discussed in the podcast:

    Chris R

Will you be writing more Young Adult
    books?

You have started a series for the Silver

dragons.  Will there be more series coming up for other septs?

I love paranormals.  Are there any

    more paranormals coming up??

    Julie Mai

What kinds of contemporary books can we
look forward to seeing you write in the future?

Will you be witting anymore Dark Ones

    books?

Are you going to be witting any other kinds

    of paranormal series?

    Erin Baldwin

Have you ever considered doing an
anthology with other big name authors such as Christine Feehan,Sherrilyn
    Kenyon, etc?

Will Aisling ever catch a break? I truly enjoy all the adventure, but would

love to have a chapter or two of her and Drake just BEING (not being torture or chased or at each others throats...maybe just a little insight into them).

Are we ever going to hear Drake\'s side?

Would love to hear his side of things!

  • PKB #1 KatieCast
    Pick Katie's Brain KatieCast #1

Please note that there may be spoilers in the podcast. The following questions are discussed:

First set of questions from smupright

Question #1: Can Jim only take animal form or could he ever be in human form?
Question #2: Has Aisling always had power inside of her or did it just come about with the 1st book?
Question #3: Are all of the dragons inherently good or evil, or does it just depend on the sept?

The second set of three questions comes from Catherine

Question #1: Will there ever be a heroin over the age of 35?
Question #2: Will you ever use ethnic vamps and women?
Question #3: Will you ever do a series about the supernatural from another planet?

The third set of three questions comes from K. Campbell

Question #1: You mentioned that there were classes of dragons, Drakes
grandmother for example was a reeve....what other classes are
    there...is there a gold perhaps?
Question #2: Since it came out that Drake is a black dragon I have a two parter for that subject...Is it common for a dragon of another color to be
wyvern? And, could he temporarily take over the Silver sept (if
compensated well enough) and break the curse? Or does he not count
because he is wyvern for the green dragons?
Question #3: Drake has a place in the Caymans...I did not think it was a big stretch for this, but are the green dragons behind the Bank of the
    Caymans?
