Kayla Wallace and Paulina Chávez find themselves brought together after an oil rig tragedy in Landman. While having worked for the past decade in a variety of guest and supporting roles in film and TV, Wallace found her breakout turn in the Hallmark period drama When Calls the Heart, starring in six seasons of the show. Chávez, on the other hand, broke out with the short-lived Netflix comedy The Expanding Universe of Ashley Garcia, while also starring as Flora in Netflix's live-action Fate: The Winx Saga in its second season.
