Research shows that under the new administration American’s remain divided on issues. On Tuesday night, President Donald Trump delivered his first address to Congress since the start of his term, where he covered topics ranging from the economy to immigration and U.S. foreign aid. The speech was met with mixed reactions from representatives. KCSB’s Elizabeth Lane has more.

On March 1st, the Santa Barbara Transgender Advocacy Network (SBTAN), organized a march in Downtown Santa Barbara. The march included speeches from transgender people, the broader LGBTQ+ community, and allies. Regarding the recent political pushbacks that have negatively affected the transgender community, KCSB's Mavis Holley spoke with Megan Overland, who is a part of SBTAN, about how the Santa Barbara transgender community can be supported going forward.
