Happy podcast day listeners!
This episode we made sure to lay down the basics of Early Islamic Philosophy in order to bring together two growing religious empires. The caliphate of Prophet Mohammad was founded in the 7th century and grew exponentially in a short amount of time. With the growth of Islam, we saw two philosophical schools sprout, the Falsfa and the Kalam. We invite you to tune in today and listen to the snippets we can give you about what they did. In the following weeks we will be incorporating philosophical giants of the Islamic Golden Age.
As always,
Thank you for listening.

Happy podcast Monday!!
To take a little break from philosophizing, this week we sat down to share a bottle of wine and some tales of women who came far before us and lived all kinds of lives. In this case, we talk of Hypatia, the greatest philosopher of the 4th century; Ban Zhou, a historian and advisor; Amma Syncletica, a proto-nun who withstood multitudes; and Faltonia Betitia Proba, a poet and author who introduced new ways to understand the world. From Rome to China, the first few centures CE were instrumental in changing societies, and women were no stranger to how these affected their own worlds.
Our banter is light but our learning is always great and we would love to share what we have learned with you! So grab a glass of wine, or a cup of tea, whatever floats your boat, and join us. We look forward to hearing your feedback.

Hello listeners,
Happy podcast Monday!
This week we dive into two interesting philosophers from the Patristic era, or the earliest age of christianity and Christian philosophy, which took place between the 1st and 4th centuries CE. Join us for thirty minutes as we shed some light on the lives and ideas of Justin Martyr (yes, that one) and St. Ambrose of Milan, through which we can learn something about what was important to the early christians. More than that, we see how the Patristic age of chrisitanity influenced the lasting impact that this new religion would have on the political institutions of Europe for centuries to come.
We hope you like, this episode, it is a bit less philosophy heavy and a bit more story heavy.
As always,
Thank you for listening.
