So we had a bit of bad news last week, our Instagram account got hacked and we were forced to delete it. This was quite a blow for us as we’d spent this whole year trying to grow it into something we felt proud of, a place for positivity and promoting our podcast and a space for us to create something together.

However, would it be the keep growing podcast if we didn’t use this as an opportunity to grow through challenges and difficulties?? We think not!

So in today’s episode we go into what happened and what we’re doing next!

Mike and I have lived together now for the best part of 9 years, sometimes with family, sometimes with roommates and sometimes just the two of us and today we sit down to chat about “Roommate Syndrome”. What is it? Why is it a hot topic? Is it healthy etc? We dive into our own relationship and analyse how we have fallen into traps of living like roommates, but also share the things we do to keep the spark and sense of adventure alive as a couple who are very much in love but also very (too??) comfortable around eachother. It’s advice hour on the poddy.

This week we got asked by a friend of ours how one might deal with the age old question of how to earn a living from your passion, and should you? What do we do when we have all these interests, hobbies, projects, passions, but our time is mostly spent doing a job we don’t necessarily enjoy because money makes the world go round? How do you balance doing something you love vs doing something that pays and should you have hobbies and interests that you don’t use as an income in the age of the side-hustle.

We really really enjoyed this one, it’s a topic we could talk about for hours and we hope you enjoyed some of our thoughts and ideas about how it could be doable to have your cake and eat it too!

Your agony aunt and uncle have entered the chat…

We got some anonymous questions asking us for some advice about what to do when you get the feeling that you and your friends aren’t quite on the same wavelength anymore, and we try to give our thoughts and tips on how we might deal with a situation like this, but I think everyone in their 20s has definitely experienced this so you’re not alone! We also answer a bit more of a specific question about what to do when an in-law is rude to you and your partner doesn’t stick up for you, which really got us thinking about red flags in relationships and how deep some issues can be rooted when it comes to family.

We really hope that our advice was helpful to you and anyone that might have experienced something similar and thank you for sending in your questions and dilemmas for us to chime in to!

We’reeeee baaaaaack!

Hey guys!

So this isn’t the usual start to a new season but we thought we’d use this episode as a chance to do a little weekly check-in with each other and reflect on what the past week has been like for us and see what’s been on our minds as we record our 20th episode of the podcast!

There’s some exciting things that might be changing for us but we can’t reveal anything just yet! Until then we hope you enjoy today’s episode! We’re discussing this week: how we both feel about making new friendships and mating old friendships as we approach our late 20’s. How we process the idea of making small daily “sacrifices” in order to benefit from the “rewards” later on down the line. And finally, how best to strike a balance and reshaping your mindset so that you can live each day in a fulfilling way and not feeling like you want to escape from the day to day!
