Shonda Buchanan, MFA, is a former Chair and Professor of English and Creative Writing at Hampton University. Ms. Buchanan is currently a Writer-in-Residence for William & Mary College, Education Specialist for the U.S. Department of State, and Education Consultant for Students and Parents on how to be Successful in College. She is an award winning poet whose work has been featured in numerous anthologies. Ms. Buchanan is the author of "Who's Afraid of Black Indians?" the newly published "Equipose: Poems from Goddess Country". Ms. Buchanan will discuss her new book and share an exerpt from her new book publication.
