~ using the sandwich method for evaluation and providing feedback
~ asking for feedback from an expert (mentor) in the specific area that one desires that area of expertise.
~ appreciation for the expert's (mentor) time and expert advice that they share
REMINDER:
BEGINNER is one that begins something; especially an inexperienced person
EXPERT is a person who has a special skill or knowledge relating to a particular subject.

NOTE: my apology that this podcast ends abruptly! I am still learning how to improve on editing videos and podcasts.
I'm not an expert yet, but I'm working on it! :-)
A compassionate tomorrow begins with us today...
One of the greatest responsibilities and privileges that we have when mentoring or supporting another person, is helping them to live at their greatest potential. Episode 3 of Keeping it Real shares ways to support someone in being there best.
Whether we are a colleague, parent, friend, partner, coach or leader, we are all role models to each other. So lets be good ones!
A compassionate tomorrow begins with us today...
The definition in the dictionary for the word prayer: a solemn request for help or expression of thanks addressed to God or an object of worship. And some people may think the power of prayer is about religion, and maybe it is, for them.
My thoughts on the power of prayer: it's about hope, people caring about people, and believing in something bigger than ourselves. I talk to God every day, sometimes many times a day and night. His nickname is Big Guy! NO disrespect intended ever!
Today's podcast intends to ask the listener:
Do you believe in something bigger than yourself? And it's okay if you don't. There is no preaching in this podcast, only thought-provoking questions.
If you do believe in something bigger than yourself, I hope it brings you comfort knowing a Big Guy is always watching over you.
Thank you very much for listening to the Keeping It Real podcast.

A compassionate tomorrow begins with us today...
Have you ever noticed that when you keep saying YES to everything, you begin to feel overwhelmed?
Are you using SMART goals?
Have you determined what your priorities are?
Do you have a plan?
If you've answered No to any of the questions above, there is a good chance you are feeling overwhelmed.
Solution: In order to say YES to our priorities, we have to say NO to something else.
A compassionate tomorrow starts with us today...
2020 was quite a year for everyone, everywhere! The pandemic hit, and everything changed! Was it a bad year for everyone? I don't know. But I know that millions and millions of people did their best to cope with all the changes made so we could keep each other safe.
Will 2021 be a better year? Better than 2020. Who knows? For some people, I'm sure it will be. Where others may encounter challenges or tragedies that will make 2021 one of the most difficult years of their lives.
What can we do about it? Celebrate every day. Celebrate being alive. Celebrate the little things. It WILL be worth it!
A compassionate tomorrow begins with us, today....
Everyone has bad days, even bad weeks sometimes. How can we get ourselves through times when we feel down or angry about everything? We work on developing an attitude of gratitude because when we are grateful, it's impossible to have negative feelings.
A few suggestions on maintaining an attitude of gratitude:
Write things down that you are grateful for in a journal.
Everyone likes to know that they are appreciated, so express your gratitude to the people in your life.
Remember to celebrate the things that matter most to you. When we focus on being grateful, we are much more aware of all the good things that surround us.
Some people listen to positive affirmations daily on YouTube, where others will read quotes about gratitude and positivity.
Make it a habit to express appreciation and thankfulness every day. It will change your life.
A Compassionate Tomorrow starts with us, today...
Episode 2 is about being a leader, regardless of title.
International Speaker/Author, Robin Sharma, from his book "The Leader Who Had No Title". Takeaways from Robin's book: work to influence people, regardless of whether one holds, that we all have opportunities to show leadership, and that an unbeatable mindset can change your life!
Lolly Daskal is an International Speaker, Coach, and Consultant. Lolly's book 'The Leadership Gap asks us, "What gets between you and your greatness"? Having a positive mindset, dreaming BIG, living on purpose, and celebrating success are just a few things I've learned from leadership expert, Lolly Daskal.
