Welcome to Keeping It Simple Season 2 Episode 10! This episode is an interview with Dave and Elena Reynolds who have deep roots in the Christian & Missionary Alliance. Dave and Elena Reynolds have been married 35 years and have three adult children.  Together they have planted three churches in Southern California and led them to health and multiplication.  In 2021, they got to celebrate the 30 year anniversary of their first church in Huntington Beach, Ca.  They have started two church planting centers (Northwest Church Planting, Southwest Church Planting) to assess, coach, train, and support leaders. Dave has also served as the national church planting director for The Alliance and currently leads regional church planting in the West. In 2018 they launched Faith Community, a micro church that reaches people online and in the community. David and Elena live in the Temecula Valley of Southern California.

This episode has a lot of nuggets of wisdom for church planting in a traditional setting and a microchurch/simple church setting. Welcome to Keeping It Simple Season 2 Episode 8 where Scott and Luis talk about the idea of partying and social gatherings through the perspective of proxemics. Proxemics is the idea of having layered social spaces. Jesus demonstrates this with a 1 on 1 with God (divine space), the core of 3 (intimate space), the 12 disciples (personal space), 20-72 (social space), and the crowds (public space). The conversation is centered on how to merge these social spaces together in relation to how we spend our time in the holiday season. We hope this episode brings up new ideas and perspectives on relationships and the best way to merge them together for a further missional living!

Welcome to Season Two: Episode 7 of Keeping It Simple. In this episode Scott and Luis interview a friend, Atanasio, from Mexico. Atanasio works with the Soma Family of Churches which started in the Seattle Area. Atanasio Segovia is the Director of Familia Soma. He lives in Querétaro Mexico with his wife and two sons. He likes tacos and theolog! In our conversation, we talked about Atanasio's experience with planting mircochurches in Latin America, ways the church in Mexico and the church in the United States can learn from one another, and the hopes and dreams of Atansio in Latin America!
