Mom is supportive and loving, but sometimes she can be embarrassing. Kelli got Scotty McCreery to share about the time his mom embarrassed him in high school. Turns out he's not alone, take a listen to these cringeworthy stories. 

Scotty McCreery will be headlining the Pala Casino Main Stage at the Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Fest next Sunday. He caught up with Kelli of The Wake Up Call to talk about the event, which also includes Brad Paisley and REO Speedwagon. 

Scotty had his hands full during the conversation as he was trying to multitask promoting the show and feed his son, Avery. Scotty shared that fatherhood is going really well for him. He said he looks forward to getting off stage and seeing Avery or heading home after a show to spend time with him. 

Scotty really seems to be balancing his personal and professional life. While obviously being a hands on dad, he's also working on a new album. He told Kelli that the band might try some of the new stuff next weekend in Temecula. 

The inspiration behind his current song, "It Matters To Her" and many of his songs is his wife Gabi. With Mother's Day coming up this weekend, he said he's ahead of the game when it comes to presents. He also shared a funny story about the time his mother embarrassed him in high school. 

Sylvester Stallone and his family are debuting a new reality TV show next week, The Family Stallone. In a recent interview, his daughter revealed that dating is very tough, because guys are intimidated by their father. For his part, Sly pretty much laughed. He doesn't seem to mind that he's ruining their dating life.

Should she ask her to set away from her role or hope for the best? 

The biggest lesson to learn as a parent is, if your kid is quiet in another room they're probably doing something they shouldn't be. Kelli shared this morning that her 3 year old son got into his Dad's cologne to try and impress the girl next door. It wasn't a spray or two, he doused himself in it. 

So for Woman Wednesday, parents shared their stories of kids getting into things they shouldn't have. It ranged from money to Vaseline to claw machines. Take a listen. 

Kimberly Perry of The Band Perry is set to have a huge year, kicking off her solo career by giving fans a second part to her former group’s smash hit "If I Die Young."

For many, The Band Perry's song has helped in dealing with the grief over losing someone young, with KFRG morning host Kelli Green wondering if Kimberly had ever wavered in her decision to update the beloved single.

“There were definitely some inhibitions in going from the initial idea of doing a part two, like updating the story from the perspective of the girl who wrote the song over 10 years later, who didn't die young,” Kimberly admits. “One of the things that was really important to me is that we just didn't rob anybody from the original experience of the O.G.“ The song, she says, “validated so many people's experiences and their feelings. It held hands with people during times of loss. I did not want to step on that or try to rob that from anybody. But it also felt like the right thing to do and the responsible thing to do, honestly.”

While Perry gets set to drop her solo BLOOM EP on June 9, she’s also preparing to become a first-time mom. Discussing what scares her most about motherhood, Kimberly says, “I think maybe repeating some things that I would have criminalized my own parents for. You know, we can set our intentions to do things in a certain way, but I really have started to even wrap my head around the overprotection of, ‘Hey, I'm going to have to make sure that there are moments when I actively let go, you know, of controlling the future of this little person's life.”

“I think one thing that we're really trying to focus on these days are being family and putting that first and foremost, which is a way different Thanksgiving table than when you're kind of talking about, ‘Well, where are we on the chart?’ And, ‘Do we have shows next week?’

Kimberly Perry is set to have a huge year. She's kicked off her solo career by giving us a part 2 to The Band Perry's smash hit "If I Die Young". For many people this song is sacred. Kelli asked Kimberly if it ever crossed her mind not to do a part 2, because the original is so meaningful to a lot a people. She explained why it was the responsible thing to do and just how she went about it to make sure the song and everyone who loved the original still fell respected. 

"If I Die Young Part 2" will be on Kimberly's solo album 'Bloom' which is set to be released in June. Just months later, Kimberly and her husband will be welcoming their first child, a baby girl. Kimberly shared what scares her most about motherhood and its definitely something most people can relate to. 

Music can transport you to a time and place, so when the news broke yesterday that the band Sum 41 was breaking up after 27 years together Kelli was crushed. She's not a die hard Sum 41 fan, but their song "Fat Lip" is one that immediately takes her back to high school.

In a now viral clip of Katy, you can see her desperately trying to find her seat for the ceremony. It's amazing how quick panic can set in when you lose something. Kelli had a recent experience with her friend who lost his car at Stagecoach! 

Turns out losing cars at concerts is pretty common. Take a listen to some other things and PEOPLE who got lost. 

Jason Kelce recently revealed that he lost a bet to his brother Travis Kelce. As a punishment he had to shave his head. He recorded his 3 year old daughter's reaction to his new look and it was priceless. Kelli shared that when she was younger her dad shaved off his mustache and it it scared her so bad, she thought he was an intruder in their house. Turn out Dads shaving facial hair is a pretty traumatic thing. Take a listen.
