It’s time to allow yourself to let go of the rope! Let go of clinging to what was or what you think you wanted but didn’t happen! When we grasp on or clutch on to something too tightly, whether a person or a thing, or a job or a house, or a kid – it actually has a negative reaction.
I share my personal observations about teaching people how to waterski in my workshops and seminars. When there is nothing left of an old thought, or dream, or job – perhaps a relationship ended or you’ve had to move away. Allow yourself to let go. It’s as though by hanging on and clinging to an idea or a person, job or social group is a way to keep the past alive, or a limiting hope that it will reverse itself and you’ll be back on your feet!
Just like waterskiing, when you’re down, you’re down. There is no way to get back up, and the only option is to ‘let go of the rope’.
What idea, dream or person are you clinging to, even though all logic tells you that its time … to let go!
