On this episode of Kelowna Music, we sat down with Kelowna's very own Chloe Davidson to chat about being a professional musician, having perfect pitch, songwriting, and more.  Chloe is a full-time professional musician. She's a violinist, a teacher, a songwriter, a performer, and a creative. Using a violin, looper, and voice as her tools of choice, Chloe Davidson creates music full of authenticity and wonder. From a young age, Chloe has used music as a vehicle of self-expression, but was taught right away that the higher purpose of the art she created was to be a gift to those around her.

Episode 10:

On this episode of Kelowna Music, we sat down with Makayla Gough, one of the youngest guests we have had on our show. Makayla is a singer/songwriter and guitar player with a loving passion for country music. She grew up in vernon, but frequently plays shows in Kelowna, so we let it slide. We chatted with Makayla about why she initially hated country music, how she became a musician despite neither of her parents being musically interested, and how she writes her songs!

On this episode, we had the pleasure of getting to know the amazing Joshua Smith. He is a singer, songwriter, producer, and full-time musician. Josh captures traditional and folk-friendly modernism with his songwriting process. Imagine if Marvin Gaye, Hank Williams & Paul Simon took a trip to Nashville. Episode 5:

On this episode, we chatted with the famous Dan Tait. Dan is one of Kelowna's most well-known creative individuals. He is a one-man-band defined by his warm guitar lines, pulsing kicks, and his powerful soaring voice, he's half of the folk duo "Tiger Moon", he has played hundreds of shows across Canada, and he is passionate about bringing awareness to mental health (that's only scratching the surface). He is an amazingly interesting and passionate individual and he brings so much to the music community of kelowna, and of canada as a whole. We chatted with Dan about his beginnings, what inspires him to do what he does, how mental health and music are deeply connected, and much more. It was truly a pleasure!

On this episode, we chatted with the Cooke brothers. Sam is a songwriter, singer, and rapper, and Jake is a songwriter, singer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. They are half of the hip-hop group called 538st, and they are insanely talented. On this episode, we chatted with Zoe Marie Welch. She's a singer/songwriter, dancer, and actress. Her music style floats somewhere in between pop, indie, and R&B. Episode #2:

In this episode, we got to chat with the famous Taylor McKnight. He's a phenomenal musician, a singer, a model, and an amazing person. We talked about his musical beginnings playing Christian rock/punk songs, how he felt about starring in our music video, and his experience living in Scotland as a shepherd.

Taylor grew up in Vernon B.C. and has travelled across Canada playing music with countless musicians. He is currently half of the band Via Barcelona, the other half being Andrew Allen. He plays multiple instruments including the drums, the guitar, piano, and is a fantastic singer.
