Ken Pomeroy is a 22-year-old Oklahoma born singer songwriter whose songs have wide open spaces where animals and memories run wild. Her Cherokee name, ᎤᏍᏗ ᏀᏯ ᏓᎶᏂᎨ ᎤᏍᏗᎦ, roughly translates to "little wolf," and on her recent album, Cruel Joke (in stores now from Rounder Records) you can hear the influence of her Native American heritage in the natural images of her songs like "Coyote," "Wolf In Sheep's Clothing," and "Cicadas," (featuring John Moreland) the latter of which was recently featured in Sterlin Harjo's milestone Hulu series, Reservation Dogs.
