Another of my all time faves, I have always wanted to record this song, and while this is a scratch lead vocal, I'm messing around with some different recording techniques. The lead will be re-recorded at some point. This is 2nd verse and last 2 choruses. Love this song!

My take on "Road Ode", talking about a life from the side of the traveling musician...what it's like out on the road, missing home. As crazy as it sounds, I'd take it in a heartbeat. I hope you enjoy this song - it's always been one of my favorites. A lesser known Carpenters tune, but one of my very favorites for sure and you should surely check theirs out, from their sublime "A Song For You" LP.

Accidentally left off the updated listing, this is probably one of my favorite songs from the set of "Covered Up". I've always loved what the Superman image stood for and it was my first tattoo, even before I understood what it would represent to me. After illness, this musical set of recordings represented growth of great personal strength and progress, and this tune was very much part of it. The words are very powerful indeed.

I love this song & always have, with this version reflecting the Al Jarreau vocal arrangement.
