The great worship scene of Revelation displays the grandeur of God. It is a worship scene that one day we will be able to participate in. But even in that scene we see the judgment of the world. And even in the judgment, we see more worship.

The book opens up with a remarkable view of who Jesus is. Without skin, Jesus is spectacular. And we must understand who he is to truly be able to worship him for all his might.

The victorious view of Jesus is one that should change the way we view the world and our role in it.

Every church has challenges. Sometimes it is over minor issues. But sometimes it is a big deal. How a church handles that controversy can be good or bad.

The early church was not without controversy as well. And they show us the way in which we should handle problems today.

The early church started off being only for Jews. But with the inclusion of Cornelius, we see that the church began to be for all people everywhere.

Jesus came and died for all people. Are we spreading that news to everyone? Or are we selective in who comes to know Jesus?

The gospel has the power to change lives. And no better example exists in the Bible than that of Saul. Saul was a harsh persecutor of the church. Dragging people out of their homes and placing them in Jail. But when he met Jesus, everything changed.

That power still has its effect today. It can change our lives just like it changed Saul’s.

The Religious Leaders were not happy that the disciples were talking about Jesus. They had gotten rid of him and hoped that all the fuss would be done away with. But that is not the case.

So they pressured the early followers of Jesus, to the point of death. How did the early church respond? How should we respond?

Jesus promised that power would be given his followers with the coming of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2 tells us about this coming and the power that is associated with it. We still have the power of God in us today. And if we are willing, we can be empowered for the work of the gospel!

John will end his gospel with the most important miracle of all. The Resurrection of Jesus. It is through this that we have the life and forgiveness of sin. It is the victory miracle of Jesus. And it is our victory as well.

The final miracle that Jesus performs in the book of John is probably the most amazing. While not the only person that Jesus brought back to life in his ministry, it is by far the one that has the most impact. Dead for three days, and coming back! No one thought it was possible.

The life that Jesus gives and is giving to people is a life that should spread to others. Do we have that life in us?

The conversation that follows in John 9 is about sin and spiritual blindness. The miracle that Jesus performs serves as the message bearer between the disciples, Jesus, and the Pharisees. For us, we must be aware of our own blindness to our sins. Jesus is the one that can reveal the truth to us.
