This is Episode number 27 the Murder of Phil Hartman. He was a Canadian and American comedian, actor, screenwriter and graphic designer. He was a beloved cast member of Saturday Night Live from 1986-1994.

Phil was murdered by his wife Brynn on May 28, 1998 in his home in Los Angeles, California. He was just 49 years old.

She was a 19year old freshman at Lehigh University located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania who was brutally raped and murdered in her college dorm in the spring of 1986. Her murder would spark a campaign that would take a hard look at campus safety and security. This campaign would eventually sling shot the Clery Act which requires all colleges and universities that participate in federal financial aid programs to keep and disclose information about crime on and near their respective campuses.
